How accurate is 1861 movement?
I bought a brand new 50 anniversary Speedmaster from an AD a week ago. I am testing the accuracy of the watch in the box. The first day it was 10 s/day faster. Second day, it was 2 s/day slower. The third day, it was 2 s/day faster. Now, it is 2 s/day slower again. Will it run consistently after a while?
Pictures: Visit to the PP factory
I was lucky enough to visit the Patek Philippe factory and managed to get hold of some pictures that were taken during the visit.
Skydweller is it a good purchase?
Please could the forum feedback on their thoughts of The stainless steel Skydweller and is it a sound purchase and a classic watch? I am looking to cash in for my Airking 116900 and Milgauss Black Dial .
Why did you buy your first Rolex?
I've heard many reasons mentioned by people, for some it's simply to show off, whilst some others wear a Rolex that was given to them by a relative or friend, and others got theirs to mark a special occasion, so on and so forth. For me it was because I turned my career/future prospects around in a big way, last year, at the age of 30; I got a job that 8000 people had applied for and in the process I more than doubled my salary from my previous career. It was a completely new field for me so once I successfully passed my training I wanted to mark the occasion with something to always remind me of my hard work & study, and to always keep going and aim for the next target. What better way than a Rolex? It's something that I would never have been able to afford if I didn't get up off my a$$ and turn things around, I was working a crappy job for rubbish pay (well below the national average here in the UK), was always feeling down and had no future prospects. But why a Rolex you may ask?
