Where there's a will, there's a way...AP 15300
This is one hard watch to find these days....but I'm finally proud to be a new owner of a 15300! Since none of the forums sellers had it, I had to turn to the ADs. After calling more than half the dealers from AP's site yesterday, when one of them said: yes, we do have that one....I knew right there I would finally own one, and after a wire transfer and day later, it's on my wrist.I had tried the 15400, it's an amazing watch, but the way it sat on my wrist I felt it was too big. I absolutely love this watch, very comfortable so far, light weight, love the AP logo at the 12 o clock. My first AP and more to come...Now should I get the rose gold, black dial with black strap as well....?
Omega 2500 movement issue?
I have a PO with a 2500 and about a month ago it stopped all of the sudden, it;s my daily driver so it was wound.I played with it a while and I could get it to start for a few seconds and then stop again, it was Saturday afternoon so I took it off and decided to take it to Omega on Monday. To my surprise on Sunday afternoon I noticed that it had started back on its own and it hasn't stopped since.Om Friday the same thing happened to a coworker that has a similar watch but he's restarted a few hours later. What gives?
speedy auto
Can someone give me a short explanation of why the Speedmaster automatics seem to have such a lower regard, technically, than the Speedy Pro's? I recognize the historical advantage that the SP's have. Thanks.
PCL's - If you're OCD, might not be the route to go.
Well, it's been one week to the day that I purchased both a TT Submariner along with a DateJust for my wife. My watch, the oyster bracelet. Hers, the jubilee. By comparison, hers looks amazing. Mine, meh. Don't get me wrong, it's still beautiful/gorgeous, etc. etc. But those PCL's pick up more scratches than a flea bitten dog on a lazy summer's day. I mean one could sneeze on this bracelet and it'll show a micro scratch marking. lol. I know I know, no big thing as they can all be polished to brand new upon servicing. Regardless, if you're one who is crazy OCD about scratches, might want to rethink PCL's. I know I was looking at getting a GMT Master II this week but the PCL's on that one are making me rethink the whole deal. Anyone else see this or am I just spending far too much time looking at the bracelet and then going, What the hell!? How'd it pick up a scratch just resting on the nightstand!????: Oh, and no worries here. I'm totally wearing it like nobody's business. I buy them to
