Oris Darryl O'Young Limited Edition Watches
Watch companies do this a lot. Make an interesting watch that is closely connected with someone well known - at least well known to some people. I would say that 95% of the time I have never even heard of the person they are making the watch "in honor of." While it is true that I am not a big sports enthusiast, I should have at least heard of the people right? Popular choices for these watches are race car drivers, golfers, soccer players, etcIn the US these people are mostly unknown - at least in pop culture terms. Take for instance Darryl O'Young that this Oris watch is based on. Clearly from the images he is some type of race drive - but aside from the fact that Oris points out he drives a Porsche, I have no idea who he is, and why I should care.So am I the wrong audience for this stuff? Or do watch companies just like to connect with people that are unknown in the US. I mean I assume someone out there knows and cares who this guy is. There are always press releases from watch brand
Talking Watches: With Brad Farmerie
Welcome to episode 18 of Talking Watches. Today we're sitting down with Brad Farmerie, the executive chef behind several of the hottest New York City eateries right now. After honing his craft in London in the 1990s, Farmerie returned to the U.S. in 2003 to open Public Restaurant, which would earn the coveted Michelin Star a handful of years later. In 2011, Saxon + Parole opened its doors, and it is here that we met to discuss his thoughtfully curated collection. This is Talking Watches with Brad Farmerie. 1 OF 26 Bell & Ross BR 03 2 OF 26 Farmerie's first mechanical watch was this Bell & Ross BR 03, which was a wedding gift from his wife. As you'll see throughout his collection, Farmerie's tastes clearly tend toward the tool/function end of the spectrum – and this 42 mm aviation-themed piece is no exception. 3 OF 264 OF 26 JS Watch Co. ROC Comparison 39mm x 41mm
Hi,Noob to this forum. Does anyone have a side by side picture of the ROC 39mm and 41mm? Tried searching for it but to no avail. Would like to see how they compare size-wise. Thank you very much in advance.

First Rolex Purchase Advice
I will be hopefully pulling the trigger this year on a Rolex. Coming up on a milestone birthday at the end of the year I have decided the time is right. After looking at many TRF classifieds I have decided this will probably be the way I go. The only thing that bothers me is this would leave me buying a watch on site only. This would also be the case at most AD's since they have low stock anyway or I would buy out of state. Should this make me nervous? I am looking at a 116610LN, 116710BLNR or LN, and lastly a 126334. This would likely be my one and only nice watch for life, or at least that's how I will plan for now. I don't dive or travel a lot and spend most of my time in shorts and flip flops or business casual. I feel all these would fit the bill but being as how this may last a lifetime not sure which to choose. Any input would be appreciated.
