Fiona Krger Memento Mori Skull Watch
There are skull watches and then there are skull watches like this. Looking like a Mexican "Day of the Dead special" (Dia de Los Muertos), this mechanical skull-shaped watch is full of personality and design talent. Right now it is a one-of-a-kind watch, but there are plans for production in the near future. The watch was designed by Fiona Krger while she was a design student at the ECAL school in Switzerland (University of art and design Lausanne). Apparently I need to credit both her and the school as she designed the watch while there."Memento Mori" isn't a name that hasn't been used before, but a design like this is cool and unique. The watch case is literally shaped like a skull. This one has been hand-engraved in solid sterling silver (also the crown). Not sure of the size, but it does not look too small or too large. Interesting touches include the traditional style blued-steel hands and aviator style crown. That combo looks inspired from Peter Speake Marin if you ask me.The di
Invicta Reserve Pro Diver Swiss Automatic Lefty Meteorite Watch
I love writing about Invicta watches because you readers get so worked up about them with your polarizing viewpoints. Some of you swear by Invicta carrying around your collection of 47 'ShopNBC specials' in a duffel bag at all times, while other wouldn't touch them with their worst enemy's wrist. It is true that Invicta has a lot of hit and misses, as well as a broad range prices to go with their watches. Sometimes it is actually not fair, because you can't compare a $1,000 Invicta with a $50 one - but they both have the same name on the dial, so what are you to do?Here is one of their "Invicta Reserve" models which is supposed to be a higher-end piece with a Swiss movement and more interesting features. This one (model J401063) has a long name and some interesting qualities. This is the black on black version of the Invicta Reserve Men's Pro Diver Swiss Automatic (let me take a breath) Lefty Meteorite Dial Bracelet Watchwith the "diver's case." What seems to be as a following of the s
the "Radiomir" with movements, cases and crowns all made by Rolex
Officine Panerai has never produced a device said time at all. Released in 1938 for the Italian Navy, Officine Panerai produced watches dive called the "Radiomir" with movements, cases and crowns all made by Rolex.
Bergeon 7825 on Speedy New Bracelet
Hi Guys, as you know the New Speedy Bigbox equipped with the new screw type bracelets and reading other online source that Omega tend to be using a bigger Spring Bar vs Rolex Spring Bar.And the Spring Bar tool which come with the Bigbox doesn't really good enough and I was wondering anyone here used a Bergeon 7825 (pliers / tweezer) to remove the bracelets before?Bergeon 7825 was described as a very fine tip and does it provide enough grip on the bigger Omega spring bar?
Incoming! Finally.....
2 years ago I saw this watch at an AD and was blown away from the minute I saw it. I somehow got brainwashed into thinking I didn't like two-tone watches. Today he came home....Bigger box than I'm used to...With his big brother... Not sure they'll get along....Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
