Bremont Adds New Models to Its Solo Collection
Bremont launched its Solo collection, inspired by pilots’ watches from the 1940s, in 2011. This year, the line expands with the addition of a new white-dial model, which accompanies the original black-dial version, and a smaller version with a 37-mm diameter case.Like its predecessor, the new white-dial Solo is housed in a 43-mm three-piece steel case, whose design Bremont refers to as “Trip-Tick,” and powered by a modified ETA 2836 movement that the company has named BE-36AE. The movement has been chronometer-certified. Incoming - Finally got my first AP! - 2017 RELEASE
Hi everyone,After lurking for a while and dreaming about this watch I finally pulled the trigger. I never thought I would like an AP until I held one in my hands and tried it on, it just blew me away. I love my Rolex's but AP is different. Every few months or so I run into one at a boutique or dealer and it just hurts trying them on since I wanted one so bad. First I wanted a white (or silver?) one because it is the first one I ever tried on and I love white watches. Then I was feeling for the black one because of the contrast to the markers and the depth of the dial. The white gold on a dark dial just pops. Should I do it? BLNR for PAM 233
So impulsive me is at it again. I currently own an 114060 and a BLNR but I have been thinking a lot lately about having more variety within the rotation. The Sub is the perfect daily, so I am thinking about trading the BLNR for a PAM 233. Last summer I was going between a PAM 233/422 and a BLNR but picked up the BLNR thinking it could cover up the urge for a PAM. Well, I was wrong . Some days I love the BLNR and want to keep it and other days I want something else. So what do you guys think?Trade this?For this?

So I wanted to restore the bezel to mirror finish on my Panerai, prior to sale. I dropped it off at Richemont (Sydney) service. The quote came back saying that since the amplitude was low they're going to do a full cleaning and service yada yada and light polishing.Alright so the fee for this complete service is $425.Sound reasonable or I should just sell as-is and let the new buyer do it.Or should I find a place that is willing to polish the bezel and re-assemble.Or should I ask Richemont to just do the polish and nothing else.BTW the watch has been stored since 2005 when it was new, maybe a few months wrist time total. I suppose if it is Low amplitude it is just oil evaporation.BTW my Patek which I bought new in 98, and used for years, was tested a few months ago because I thought it must need a service by now, was found to be perfect, and not in need of even re-lubrication. Hmm.
