One thing about that rubber strap....
The last few weeks have been well hot here in France. I just spent 3 days wearing my 216570 Polar (which I love) and was reminded how sweaty I find the bracelet. I couldn't wait to get back to my Diver's rubber strap, which I wear slightly large and find much less sticky. I now understand why PP call the Aquanaut's strap tropical, and find myself (once again) pleasantly surprised by how much I love my Diver, and its supremely comfortable rubber strap....

What to do when boredom sets in?
Hey everyone... Havent posted on here in a lil while, hope everyone is wellI bought my blue dialed AP 25820 SS Perpetual Calendar last fall. I absolutely love it to death! After almost 8 months, I still LOVE looking at it! I'm kinda getting bored of it though (I think that's what it is) and often find myself looking to swap it out. Btw, this is a VERY long time for me to own the same watch.What do you guys (without a plethora of watches) do when you get bored of a watch? Currently my only other watch is a SS Yachty... My WG IWC Vintage Pilot only lasted a couple months with me. I hated the no date function, which I of course knew I would when I bought it Should I put it in the winder box and pull it out in a few weeks and see how I feel?

I think I found my next watch
A few months ago I hit the jackpot at my AD. I got the call for both a 5711 white dial and a white Daytona-C within a month. I of course took them both. Surprisingly I wasn't able to bond with the 5711 like I did the Daytona and I quickly let it go. A week or so later I'm at the same AD and they had a 5712 in the store. It was already spoken for but they let me try it on. Wow is all I can say. It was stunning. Although I'm sure it will be quite some time before they get another one in stock my AD was kind enough to put me down for the next one. Patek sighting in the movie"Non-Stop"!!
Hello all! Sorry if someone has already caught this and posted about it......Last night I took my son to see the new Liam Neeson movie, Non-Stop. Overall, it was a pretty decent movie and worth watching - if you enjoy those types of action flicks. Nevertheless, in one scene the pilot of the plane needed to check his watch for the time. As he turned his wrist, you could clearly see that it was a complicated Patek Philippe of some sort. Unfortunately it was only visible for about a second, but it was exciting to see a PP up on the big screen! And boy did it look good!This got me wondering if Patek is loosening up the purse strings a bit and paying for product placement opportunities more than they used to? Regardless, the sighting turned the movie from good to great in my book!
