Richard Mille’s New Tourbillon and Automatic
You may want to head back to school for a Ph.D in material science before reading any further. Describing his new Aerodyne Tourbillon, Richard Mille says “Orthorhombic titanium aluminides are new group of alloys, developed from the main class of titanium aluminides, which possess a specific crystalline molecular structure ordered on the orthorhombic phase of Ti2AlNb. Its use within a honeycombed geometrical pattern was originally the subject of research by NASA for application as a core material of supersonic aircraft wings, where resistance to extremely high temperatures and torsion is paramount…”Mille continues “The alloy in this honeycombed form has unparalleled stiffness, a low thermal expansion coefficient and exceptional torsion resistance. The actual shape of the baseplate itself as seen from the dial side resembles the trench-like V-shaped profile of a flying wing aircraft where the wing tips are positioned higher than the central body of the aircraft it

Omega Newb Assistance Please
Hi Folks,I'm normally in the Rolex Vintage Forum across the hall. I have an opportunity to pick up a really neat looking Seamaster 300 but would like some of you professionals to take a look at the dial for me. It appears to be a 1965ish model with a date, but aside from that it's a crap shoot otherwise. Any insight would be highly appreciated.Pete
ladies 7118/011 vs rolex dateday 28 whitegold/diamond
Guys, looking to pick up a sports watch for wife for our 10th. Looking at the 7118A 011I find very little discussion on 7118, thoughts?Alternatively, she doesn't have a rolex yet, the 28mm datejust steel/white gold with diamond looks quite nice for almost 30% cheaper. m279384rbr-0011Happy to hear your thoughts.I showed her the lady world time which I thought was awesome. Her only comment was she can't read the time lol....
