Ludovic Ballouard Upside Down Watch
Watch maker Ludovic Ballouard presents his first self-branded timepiece, the "Upside Down Watch." A finely made high-end watch, the piece incorporates Ballouard's experience accumulated from working at brands such as Franck Muller and the very well-respected F.P. Journe. You can see elements of his time at F.P. Journe in his own watch, whose movement thematically resembles the work coming out of that atelier. Ludovic is an open fan of F.P. Journe, highly admiring the brand's work (not just because he spend a good amount of years there), and still often wears a F.P. Journe watch today. The development of the Upside Down Watch started a few years ago, and I wanted to wait until actual images of the watch were released before writing about it. I enjoyed the concept from the start. It is not overly complex, but it is satisfying, and technically complicated. There is a friendly richness to the design and complication that shows Ballouard is not only willing to have fun, also that he is not o
AP Royal Oak 39mm YG Chronograph - preowned
I received an offer today of $20,500 for my mint F serial 26022BA.00.D088CR.01 with box and papers. Do you think it is a fair value? I know the 39mm is not as popular anymore but was hoping for $23-24k.
PO 42mm - 2500 vs. 300M
Good day, all.Abqrolexfan posted up pics of his new 300M the other day and I fell in love with the watch - but as a gift for my father. I started looking at the pics of the new 300M in black non-wave dial and really like it, however, the more I looked at it the more I began to wonder if it will be harder for him to read. At age 71, my dad's eyesight is pretty good, but as years move on it may diminish to some extent. So on to the OMega website...Hmmm, the PO 2500 looks like a fantastic option: clearly marked hours, hour & minute hands that are smooth and clean. A very clear and concise layout overall.I guess I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with the heft of the watch or how bulky one may be over the other. Dad doesn't wear a watch, but has been commenting on my Omega ever since I purchased it a few months ago. I know he's gonna love it...he's got an average wrist size and a 41mm vs 42mm won't be much issue. I am thinking the PO may be chunkier than the 300M - would I be
Grandpa`s Omega
I just picked it up from service. They`ve just changed it`s oil and cleaned it from the inside! It is still perfectly functional and amazingly accurate. And I like the way it looks,I just don`t know what to do with it`s dial.I think I`ll leave it the way it is,but it`s kind of shame, because this watch is in almost perfect overall shape.Maybe I`ll give it to some guys who are doing restauration bussiness very well.
Yachtmaster 40 Rhodium - pics please
Went to my AD and they didn't have one in stock, can you please post some pictures and wrist shots. This combination looks amazing from what I can tell. How does it go with dress wear blue and back suits? How about casual? This could be the holy grail watch for me, I love the bezel and the neutral-ness of it. Stunner!! Thank you soo much for sharing pics!
