A. Lange & S?hne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon (Updated with Live Photos and Price)
The latest ticking chef d’oeuvre from Saxon watchmaker A. Lange & S?hne is a horological triple threat and then some. Unveiled this week at SIHH 2016 in Geneva, the A. Lange & S?hne Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon incorporates three major complications with five supplementary functions. The three complications are a flyback chronograph, a perpetual calendar, and a tourbillon (not a complication in the classical sense but widely regarded as one by many, and certainly a mark of high watchmaking expertise). As is typical with Lange, however, there is more to each of these mechanisms, as we discover by examining each word in this new model's moniker. Datograph is A. Lange & S?hne's designation for the combined mechanism of a column-wheel chronograph, with a precisely jumping minute counter and a flyback function, and the typical Lange outsize date indication. For this watch, Lange incorporated the system that it unveiled to great acclaim in its Datograph Up/Down model, w
I don't want to let her go..
But it may be time as the itch for other pieces has come. Probably my favorite AP that I have had to date.. this safe queen may have to find a new home soon. Felt like posting a potential send off thread with a couple of my favorite photos of this beauty.. If she goes, I hope she is enjoyed by someone as much as I have appreciated her! Enjoy the iconic 39mm 15202 Jumbo in all RG!
Vintage Speedy
Hey all. This isn't an official FS: post so I am filing it here. I got my hands on a 1975 Speedy Moonwatch. The piece is in good condition overall. The exception being that the chrono doesn't work. I'm not an expert so I can't open it up to look. Everything else works great and it seems to keep very good time. Any idea on what it would be worth given the condition? I'd prefer to be wearing a Moonwatch with a few less miles on it? Is my vintage piece (with chrono issues) an even trade for something 5 yrs old? Thanks all. Here is a pic. PO on medici with orange stitch
Hi, I recently purchased a new medici with orange stitch and installed it on my PO. I am a fan of curved end straps cuz I think the gap between the spring bars and lug is way too big (am I the only one who thinks so?) and have been thinking about OEM rubber but my small wirst (16.5mm) can't take OEMs so changed my streeing wheel. I want the buckle to be in the middle of my wrist and medici is the best option for me.My first impression on medici is that the leather is super soft and the colored stitch easily kills boredom. I decided not to cut the fixed keeper and leave the fang (upside down position) so that it fills the hole. Here are some photos. thanks for looking,JW in Vancouver
