HYT H2 Hydromechanical Watch Unveiled
The Hydromechanical Horologists, aka HYT, have finally released their second watch model after the explosively popular H1 from last year. The new watch is the H2, and breaks new ground in terms of mechanical and visual interest versus merely adding a new complication. Our friends at HYT's media partner Watchonsita offered the full details here for HYT. Before getting all excited about the H2, let's recall what the H1 was about by visiting our hands-on look at the H1 watch here.Earlier this month HYT shared with us a picture of the rear of the HYT H2's movement here. Looking like a robot face, the image was a prelude of a technically marvelous watch to come that was as much about design and style as it was about horology. HYT worked with APRP's Giulio Papi to help design and produce the H2's movement. AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver Crown Question
I am 90% sure the next watch I will get will be the AP Royal Oak Diver 15703ST I just have one worry, the rubber clad crown and bezel adjuster crown. How sturd are they? Has anyone ever had any issues? I know the properties of rubber and am concerned about it getting brittle and cracking Like wise there is a rubber layer in between the case and the bezel!I'm sure AP have tested it and ironed out any potential flaws but it a real niggle in my mind!Any assistance would be greatly received
It was a Tuesday
My Omega Archive extract arrived yesterday and I took some time today to frame it.Omega customer service is really top notch I have to say. Hit a little speed bump and Omega USA sorted it no problem. Really fine folks over there, and I couldn't be happier. Ariel Morel from OmegaUSCS took good care of me. I've just purchased an Omega Aqua Terra so it seems maybe there is a trend developing here.I think the extract adds a little color to the history of this old 30.
Looking for particular NOS Seamaster
I'm trying to locate a particular Seamaster Chronometer in an AD's case that's NOS and have a few questions. The specifics are:41mm caseStainlessOlder style bracelet (still used on Speedmaster)Non-colored stainless bezelBlue or black dial (and I don't care which style hour markers it has)Automatic (chronometer)Here are my questions:Does anyone know what the particular reference # is?Does anyone know the last year this particular version was produced?Did this version ever come as a coaxial? What was the MSRP during its final year of production? If both the coaxial and original versions were available, what were their respective prices? Thanks!
