IWC Announces Ingenieur Double Chronograph Titanium
IWC’s Ingenieur family gains a rattrapante or split-seconds function with the launch of the new Double Chronograph (or Doppelchronograph in German) Titanium. The Double Chronograph case measures a substantial 45mm x 16mm and offers a satin finish. The caliber 79230 movement allows the “Doppel” to time multiple events. Find pricing and wallpaper inside. Outside, five screw heads on the bezel are DLC-coated to match the black rubber-coated push-buttons and crown protection. To keep weight and thickness in check, the soft-iron inner case has been omitted. The strap is rubber and the crystals are anti-reflective sapphire, coated on both sides. The back and crown screw in, and water-resistance is 12 bar or 120 meters. The subdials for hours, minutes and the small (hacking) seconds are recessed into the dial. I've been lusting after this one for a while now...couldn't resist yesterday. Pre-owned 422 from a local AD. In love... Second pic is my current PAM lineup. 305 was purchased last month! 312 will be for sale soon. N Series...
New Explorer 1 vs 16570
As the title implies, I am considering my first Rolex. My options are the Explorer 1 (lumed 39MM) or the 5-digit ExplorerII. Prices are relatively close. My wife likes the New Explorer. She feels it is dressier. I like the older Explorer2s. In theory, it's a gift from her. Black EXP2 maybe dressier than white with dark dial and gold hands and surrounds?
