Carl F. Bucherer’s Patravi EvoTec DayDate Gets an Update
In 2008 Carl F. Bucherer achieved Manufacture status with the introduction of the CFB A1000 automatic winding movement with a peripheral rotor that combines the technical values of the central rotor with the visual advantages of the micro-rotor. The EvoTec DayDate is now available in a cushion-shaped case with a new steel bezel. Find wallpaper and pricing inside. Beyond the peripheral rotor, the CFB A1000 caliber offers several other technical advances. The patented rotor mounting is assisted by DLC-coated rollers which are themselves mounted on ball bearings. The DLC coating provides a hardness exceeding 2,00 Vickers, which makes it several times harder than steel, the customary material used. The system requires no lubrication. The ball bearing/roller assemblies are mounted on rocking bars. Special springs allow highly accurate positioning of the rollers, and eccentrics ensure precise adjustment of the bars. A Dynamic Shock Absorption system prevents the holds the rotor in check even
Alpina Startimer Sunstar Watch
SIHH is becoming a cloudy memory, but just in time there's yet another Swiss watch show right around the corner that goes by the name of "Basel World" - perhaps you've heard of it? While there will be plenty of big reveals done during the show itself, we're starting to get word of some of the new models ahead of time. One that's grabbed our attention early on, is this new Alpina Startimer that's going by the name, Sunstar. Now, if you're familiar with Alpina, you know that they've got quite the range of aviation watches, stemming from the fact that they supplied watches to military aviators in the first half of the twentieth century. That means it's not much of a leap for them to come up with a new model. While I'm not deeply familiar with others in the Startimer line, I do know that the Sunstar is a sharp-looking piece. As is befitting for an aviator watch, the 44mm case is treated to a satin finish (the better to reduce reflections) and is topped with an AR-coated sapphire crystal. Joining the AP club!
I got this in the mail today. My first AP. Everything about this watch is amazing. The 15400 is the perfect size and really carries a lot of wrist presence. I have a feeling many of my other watches will be jealous of the wrist time this is going to get. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Need help, sell gold GMT Master II for PP Aquanaut Time Travel 5164a?
Hello,I have a very lovely Rolex GMT-Master II in gold and at the time of purchase it was my grail. It's an amazing watch and the feeling of gold on your wrist is indescribable. However, I only wear it when I have long sleeves on (8 months out of the year). I am uncomfortable wearing it with shorts sleeves here in NYC. My other watch is the SS Daytona Ceramic black dial. I never really considered the move to PP mainly b/c the ones I wanted were too expensive. I always admired the Time Travel from afar when I'd see it online, but never even considered buying. Then today out of no where I got the bug and am not sure what to do. Note, I've also never seen the watch in person, let alone tried one on. Given I live in NYC, I plan on going to the Diamond District to see if I like it on my wrist. While both watches are GMT's, they are completely different in wearability and in my opinion world's apart. The main thing my GMT has going for it is that it's gold and looks amazing (many consider it
How to verify Rolex Oyster Perpetual Milgauss 6541
I have a Rolex passed down from my Grandpa and I don't know whether it's real or not. I have no certificate or box or anything like that. Could anyone tell me if there's any signs of it being fake, or how I could verify it? Thank you.
