Maurice Lacroix Pontos S Dive Watches
A few months ago while with Maurice Lacroix at their manufacture I spent time with them going over small details on the prototype versions of these new Pontos S dive watches. We looked at little things like the polishes on the rings around subsidiary chronograph dials, colors, strap choices and other details on the dials. Going from idea, to computer design, to final product is challenging and requires a very close attention to even the little things. What I can say is that the best watch brands have product leads people who are both smart and highly independent when it comes to asserting changes to even small visual elements. While I have yet to see the final versions, I like how the Pontos S fits in the Maurice Lacroix product line-up. It is a solid design that actually mixes retro and modern looks smoothly. It is like a futuristic version of a retro sport watch. The name of the watch is just Pontos S, but I think it would have been good for them to include "Dive" or "Diver" in the na
Super disappointed with audemars piguet
Recently i just manage to get a brand new piece of the new navy roo but just few days of wearing the movement jammed . Looking through the caseback i noticed that a screw had came off thus jamming the movement. Rolex and panerai do not have such problem even an ETA movement is more reliable. Sent in my watch for servicing and told me it will take 2 months. Write into ap website and they just redirected back to the service center with the standard reply telling me a screw had misaligned (which is what i reported to them ) . It seems that they are not very interested in taking care of their customers. This is my first and most likely last AP pieces that i will ever own . Super disappointed for such a luxury piece
Leaving Rolex for Breitling
I'm trading a submariner for a brand new superocean steelfish plus some cash (to take care of a bill). Anyways can anyone let me know how the accuracy is on a breitling? I know they are cosc, and the one I'm getting is a caliber 17. Is this an eta movement? Or an in-house movement. I've only owned Rolex, so I'm naive to breitling. Thanks for any help with this.
2010 Olympic Edition
Has anyone bought the Seamaster olympic version? I would like to see some wrist shots if you have them.I really would like a white faced watch and the only real option (for a LONG time) is the Rolex Exp II which costs about $6800 here in Canada. I always found it a tad bit small and the Seamaster line to be just right. When I spoke to my AD he said that alot of people like the olympic version but dislike the red besel and olympic symbol on the second hand which apparently both can be changed.Let me know.
Rolex needs a bracelet.
Guys,This forum is really hard with poating pictures!Anyhow, I just tried my new colareb strap, between a grey and blue color, on my 114270. The strap is really nice looking, but the Rolex just well... Doesn't look like a Rolex anymore. I am such a fan of the Rolex bracelets!Again, very hard to post pictures here, I eill try later today to post. BTW guys, when removing thr bracelet I noticed the Stainless still written between the Lugs kind of erased? I mean it alnost disappeared. Is it normal? When I bought the watch (preowned) I could easily see it. But now, almoat gone...Thanks guys. Cheers!
