Thoughts on the condition of this Royal Oak?
Hey guys!So as a newbie into the AP world, I would love for you guys to critique this 14790 I am looking at. (regards to case, bevels, overall condition).Now I am not naive enough to expect a 30 year old watch to be in pristine condition, however I am wondering if you guys think that this watch is in decent shape. I would love to hear your opinions/inputs.It is a very early ref 14790 at 36MM. Love to hear your thoughts.Thanks in advance!

DayDate40 or 5711a?
I understand that this is the Patek sub forum, so many will probably say 5711a, however a bit of background to provide context:-My AD (and longtime friend) believes he will be able to get me a 5711a white dial sometime this year. Nothing written in stone and of course with the current crazy market and shortages, it may or may not happen. The DayDate40 would be yg with sliver deconstructed romans. -This would be for my wife, she did not really know much about watches before meeting me, now she's just as enthusiastic about them as I am.-She currently wears a 116613 two tone blue submariner as her daily watch, and also has a Cartier santos, which is also two tone. -She has always liked the 5711, ever since I showed a picture to her many years ago, however we were not in the position to buy back then. Radiomir at its purest?
Guys,I'm a minimalist, and a big fan of simplicity and functionality.Although Rolex are highly utilitarian tool watches, I still find that buying a Radiomir was a huge step towards a simpler more pure look... and more so because the Radiomir has changed a lot less than Rolex watches have, since the original design.With that said, I'm aware that the PAM183 — and in particular the Black Seal phrase —?isn't the most original thing about a Radiomir. I also know that a 12-3-6-9 dial without small seconds (correct me if I'm wrong) is more desirable when looking for a true original.On a quest for the purest, most original, most utilitarian Radiomir... I ask you to pick one:1. 12-3-6-9 dial with small seconds.2. 12-3-6-9 dial without small seconds.3. SLC dial.4. California dial.5. Other (comment)

New PM 36 MM Datejust
With the 116238 being the current 36 mm PM DJ, perhaps Rolex should offer the DJ in other PM. There are the 116139's which are the WG versions of the 116138. The 116139 is the only 36 mm size DJ I know of that is in solid WG, and it is on a leather strap and not a bracelet.Perhaps Rolex can make a 36 mm WG DJ with a WG President bracelet instead of a jubilee. I think that would be really cool. Perhaps they could do a RG DJ with a oyster bracelet .. I'd buy either one of them if Rolex came out with a different 36 mm DJ
