Watches NEWS
Just picked up my 15710 from service
A few months ago I went to set the time and the crown came right out! I was sad but the watch has been very good to me in the last two plus years. I had APNA change my strap and the stitching in the strap from black to white. They also did a light polish. I had them hold the watch for 6 weeks until I was in NY where they shipped it to the NY boutique and I pick Ken it up. I missed her quite a bit. Also Selin at the AP NY boutique was very helpful as was thenClearwater team. Selin also sourced one of the new ceramic bezeled 42mm's for me to see. They won't be available for sale until July. I did like it but not enough to get rid of my diver for one. And the rubber strap, we all agreed wasn't of the same quality as the diver strap. Definitely made differently. I'm not a big fan of the red or gray but that's an easy fix.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Help Verifying Breitling Authenticity
Not sure if this is the right section for this. I've already posted it in the watch out section as well. This may get more views though? Would anyone be willing to take a look at this auction and give me their opinion on the authenticity of this Breitling on eBay? Looks legit to my untrained eye. Seller has responded promptly to two emails of my questions. Are there any specific questions I should be asking? Any help is much appreciated!.ebay/itm/232018513107...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Which exact speedy is this?
Hi All,Newbie here. I bought this about 14 years ago. I remember it was a Schumacher edition (the first I think) but not sure of the model. I had it restored a year ago by Stahl since they are local (no affiliation)..americaswatchmaker/Anyway, its basically perfect with a new OE Omega bracelet. They said it is fairly rare. Ok, cut to the chase. I have a brand new GMT and don't really need both watches. I literally just got the GMT and am wearing for a few days to make sure I like it before I do anything. I love the Omega but it is a PAI to keep the day, date, month correct.......so its always off. Plus I'm getting somewhat bored with it. Can you guys let me know what model it is and an approximate value? This isn't a thread to sell. I just want to know what I have. Also ready for the flames
Patek Reference Numbers
Hello fellow TRFers,I wondered if anybody knows what year Patek started using reference numbers for their watches?I ask as I have just purchased a c. 1937 Patek pocket watch from Derek Dier of Watches to Buy in Canada and he said that he didn't think Patek used reference numbers that early.Any help/advice would be appreciatedPaul
Tudor Heritage Bracelet - is the last link near the clasp removable?
I just received my Tudor Heritage Chrono and it is absolutely fantastic. However, the bracelet is too long on the 6 o'clock side causing the clasp to overhang my wrist on the 12 o'clock side (pictures posted below). I took off all removable links on the 6 o'clock side but it looks like there might be a way to remove the last one connecting to the clasp. Is this possible? If so, instructions would be helpful and much appreciated. Thanks! Is this last link removable?
