Current PO or 2011 Version - Please help!
I am wondering if it is worth getting the 2011 version of the PO over the current one. This would be my first watch purchase and my local omega boutique tells me that it will cost $6000 compared to $4300 for the current version.Is it worth the extra cost?What are the main differences, and what affect will it have in everyday use.I am thinking of getting a 42mm, black dial and bezel, and non chronograph.Reference number: 2201.50.00Also, I'm wondering if $4300 is too much for the current version and what is usually the average cost for people.Any help would be appreciated.Thank you.

I've probably mentioned this in previous posts but I figured I'd put it out there and elicit some opinion and advice.I have a decent collection of Rolex watches. SS Daytonas, Subs, Pepsi GMT Etc. All watches are Pre-ceramic and none massively oversized. All worn but in very good condition.I now have two Pateks and will eventually get a Perpetual Calendar and maybe even an Annaul Calendar. Who knows when, but it will happen. After buying and wearing Patek, I no longer have much of an appetite for Rolex. A Patek is special. I dont know why, they just feel different. I'm not a buyer of hype, propaganda or slick advertising. I just really like them. Maybe I'm just getting old(er). So what do I do? I'm not a trader. I've never flipped anything. I look at my Rolex watches and I think they are great. Good tough watches that can take a lot of punishment. I seemed to have lucked out and acquired watches that pretty much keep perfect time. Went to WEMPE NY on 5th today and tried on 36 mm platinum DD, 118206. What a timepiece! Seemed to weigh twice that of my gmt 2 BLNR. Anyone know if I can have Rolex exchange the glacier blue dial from several years ago with newer ice blue dial currently being used? I prefer the darker color but want to stay true to platinum line. Cost? Thanks.
