Piaget Altiplano Skeleton Ultra-Thin
Piaget is the undisputed master of ultra-thin. The brand holds several world records for thinnest movements, both simple and complicated. At SIHH, the list of records grew by two with the introduction of the Piaget Altiplano Skeleton Ultra-Thin. Learn more about the new records, and find wallpaper and pricing information inside.Designing and constructing ultra-thin movements is part art and part science. The science and engineering side requires deep understanding of materials and movement architecture. The movement designers and engineers must not sacrifice rigidity to achieve a thin profile.Yet even the best theories provide only a starting point. In the real world, nothing beats experience, and Piaget is among the most experienced manufacturers in the ultra-thin realm. 14790ST and 15450ST...
Well, it's only been a week but already my spouse is giving my new 15300 looks of envy! Fortunately, it's too big for her wrist lug-to-lug, so no danger of a swipe, although I may have to hide the SubC.Going to start looking to pick up an AP for her too, either the 36MM 14790ST, which may be hard to find in NOS or great condition, or wait and see the new 37mm 15450ST later this summer when it hits stores. The current 37mm ROO is nice, but not on the list. I know the 15450 will have the 3120 caliber movement, but not sure about the 14790. Any thoughts?
Opinions on trade/upgrade...
Hey guys. I have an about 1.5 year old 8500 calibre Planet Ocean 45.5mm that is one of my favorite pieces. Good size for my wrist, and weight. However, I continue to be drawn to these newer 43.5mm 8900 calibre models for some reason.I know that the new model has a Master Chronometer rating, but aside from that, and size, would there be any real advantage to making the move to the newer piece?Price is pretty good on the new models. I would probably buy the black, with black leather/white stitch. I am interested in hearing what the opinions would be.Cheers!Jason
Changing Bezel on a Speedy
Hello;Would putting a stainless bezel on a Speedmaster Professional void any warranty? Would it make it a Frankenwatch or ruin its value? Would I be ruining it from an all original standpoint? I found this site, .ofrei/page663.html . Are these genuine Omega parts?
