Harry Winston Opus X Watch
This is the tenth Opus collection watch from Harry Winston since 2001.It is deviously complicated to explain what it does or how it works. Just looking at the? Opus X watch makes it seems like a simple matter of having various dials for various pieces of information. What you wouldn't understand is that the entire dial is moving, while the entire dial is moving. Harry Winston calls it a "planetary system." Aside from that the white gold case is pretty sweet, and the overall look, while technical, has a certain pleasantness to it. Don't you agree?See my article on the Harry Winston Opus X watch at Haute Living here. And we're back! Yes, after dropping 12 vintage watches last Wednesday (of which 10 have already sold) we've decided to keep the hits coming with 11 new additions to the H Shop. This time we've found a few blue-chips, as always, like the most amazing Red Submariner you will ever see (complete with every accessory you can ever ask for), the insanely rare and highly sought after solid-gold Heuer Carrera from 1960s (find another, we dare you), and more. Have a glance below for some details and check them all out right here in the HODINKEE Shop. 1970s Red Submariner With Full Boxes, Papers, Hang Tags, And More 1 OF 10 For years, the Red Submariner has been atop the kingdom of non-gilt-dial Submariners, and it has always been a fan-favorite among vintage watch lovers for its single line of red text and immensely useful date window. The Red 1680 remains an all-time classic that readers have actually written in to request, and us being us, we've gone ahead
Fr. John surgery update
As many of you know, Fr. John had surgery on his right leg on Tuesday as a result of the fall he had recently. I was able to speak with him a few minutes ago and I'm pleased to report that he said he is doing well all considered. His doctors feel that the surgery went well and while he has been in a great deal of pain, he is feeling better today.Unfortunately he is not able to access TRF at Piedmont Hospital (ATL). Therefore, he is is not able to visit with us. Please continue to keep John in your thoughts and prayers, Bill P.
Alligator?
Does anyone know how much a OEM alligator strap with deployment clasp would cost from an AD for a Speedmaster Pro? I looked at Otto Frei and it looks way over-priced plus they will not ship exotic hides internationally. Any other sources for these?
Crown winding of Tudor Black Bay SG
Hi FriendsI just got the Tudor Black Bay SG. Unlike my Rolex DJ2 (whose crown stops winding after about 70 or 80 winds- meaning that the watch is fully wound), the crown of the Tudor keeps on winding. I must have wound the watch in a clockwise direction for about 200 winds at one go but the crown keeps on winding. There is only a minor clicking noise during winding but the crown doesn't stop. Is it normal for the Tudor or is there something wrong with the watch? Maybe I am being OCD about the whole thing. Any input from the highly knowledgeable people on this forum shall be highly appreciated.
