Archimede Pilot XL Manually Wound Watch With ETA 6498 TOP Movement
I recently discussed the standard Archimede Pilot XL Automatik watch here, for which there is a manually would analog, that has a subsidiary dial. A lot of you mentioned liking the good looks, fine iteration of the pilot watch look, and of course the reasonable price of $650. For those of you who are looking for a bit more, well here is something a bit more special with everything you liked about the original watch with a super nice movement. This is a version of the manually would model of the Pilot XL and has a subsidiary seconds dial. In all its German goodness it has a Swiss movement. Not just any ETA movement, but a "TOP" grade one. What does this mean though?Well most ETA movement arrive in various grades. Take for instance this caliber 6498-2. There is a basic version, and maybe a few until you get to the top. Attention to all pin fitted Nautilus bracelet owner
Hi ,I just got a 1.5link at my AD yesterday ,he took 2links out put the new link back I got the perfect fit now .But more importantly during i ve put the links & pins back to the box at home I ve played a little with the removed pins , now listen one of the freshly removed pin went through the sleeve like the hot knife through the butter , seems it was a manufacturing defect the pin diameter was a slightly lower than should be . I ve checked with the other sleeves back and forth so it was the pin too small.I m not saying it needs zero force to push it through but a very slight movement is enough to get it in and out.Watch is BNIB from an AD-i cut the seal- one month old prematured wear isn t the issue in this case.My advice either check or get checked your pins if it happened with me it could happen with you.For those who are not aware ,PP went from screws to pin fitted bracelet a couple of years before due to the large number of broken screws ,the system is simple a pin and a sle
GMT Master II oyster bracelet help
Hi to all, Been searching but can't get a definitive answer. My oyster bracelet for my K series 16710 with lug holes and SEL is a perfect fit on my wrist. Even had a permanent link removed to get it just right. Now I'm wondering whether it can be used on my 116710LN. The perfect fit plus the brushed links are pushing me towards it esp as it not being used for now cos I just got a jubilee bracelet to use on my 16710. And if it's possible then what tool is the best to use for the 116710 bracelet removal. Thanks in advance!
SD43 owners - bought it sight unseen?
I've visited all my local ADs with the goal of trying on an SD43. All have given me the same story: It's OOS, any pieces coming in have already been spoken for and will not be displayed. At least 1-2 year wait to even see one. I put myself on their lists FWIW.Anyone bought one just based on internet pics?
