First AP - Deciding Between AD and TRF Dealer
Hi everyone, I'm looking into buying from my first AP - a 15400. I have a few other watches (Rolex, Panerai, Ulysse Nardin, etc), but this will definitely be my biggest purchase.I'm curious to learn more about going with a TFF dealer who typically offer the 2+1 year warranty versus the AP Boutique's 5-year warranty. The boutique told me that 5-year warranty covers the first service, which typically runs around $1300. Is that service really necessary within the first 5 years? Rolex recommends the first service after 10 years.Anything else I should be aware of? Is adjusting the bracelet myself relatively simple? There are only two ADs near me. Once has terrible customer service so I won't even bother going there, and the other will be bummed I didn't buy from them, so I'd rather do it myself if I don't go through the boutique.

Need tips buying my first Royal Oak
HeyI am buying myself a RO. I just want some input from people with experience.Currently I only have one offer, to trade my 116610 (fullset, 2012) with a guy and pay about $4700 to get a 15202 (no box, no paper) from 2004 but in very good condition. Service history unknown, so it might be in need of a full service.Is that a good deal? I was going for a 15300 at first but this is what I got at the moment. I don't know what I miss if I get the 15202.If this isn't a good deal, what is? Please help me and if you have tips where to look (some shop, dealer or anything) in Europe it would be great to know!Grateful for the help I can get!

Patek 5164R...thoughts?
Hey all,Overall, I like Patek's offerings so far for Basel 2016. I wanted to add a sporty Patek on rubber strap and I couldn't decide between the 5164 and 5167r. I have been looking at Panerai as I'm not loving my Submariner 16610. I have a Tudor Big Block and 1675 which I love, but I'm looking at something different as an everyday piece. I tried a few and the 590 felt right. So, I've narrowed it to 44mm Luminor and manual as the case is slimmer. I'd really like sandwich dial and clear case back. I need to trade/sell Sub without additional funds if possible, and hopefully not get rinsed if I need to move it on. Don't mind used. So enablers, help me out and pictures are a must!!
