Today, German watch manufacture Sinn has announced its new?proprietary movement?inside?the Sinn 6200 Meisterbund I watch.?Sinn, a renowned manufacturer of tool watches designed primarily for divers and pilots C as well as some other, less specialized watch collections-will now debut a rather more formal looking timepieceto which the renders they made available for the time being likely?won't do much justice. Let's see what promises the?Sinn 6200 Meisterbund I has in store for fans of the brand."Meisterbund"?means a cooperation of master craftsmen, as Sinn prides themselves on working together with two notable German suppliers.?Therefore, a total of three brands are involved in making the Sinn 6200 Meisterbund I:?Sinn Spezialuhren zu Frankfurt am Main (Sinn), Sa?chsische Uhrentechnologie Glashu?tte (SUG) and Uhren-Werke-Dresden (UWD).?Whenever you are feeling a bit under the weather, just return to this article and attempt to read those three?names out loud really fast C or have someone
AP royal oak dual time problem
Hi There,I have just bought a used AP royal oak dual time. Model year is 2009. The problem is even though when i self wind the watch or use it during the day, the power reserve indicator does not go up all the way. It goes up to the last section but stays in the middle of this section. So overall i would stay the power reserve indicator goes up to %80-%85 but not %100.Anyone knows if this is normal for this model or something is wrong? For the new ones, the power reserve indicator goes up all the way but maybe for this model it is usual.ThanksKen
Watchmaker in North West of England - Any recommendations?
Hi all! I am about to embark on the purchase of an Omega 311.30.42.30.01.006 (Sapphire Sandwich) with a view to doing the Mitsukoshi hand and dial swap conversion but I am struggling to find a watchmaker in the North West of England to do the work.I am aware of a couple of watchmakers that may perform the task but they are some distance from me and I would rather not post the watch and parts if it can be avoided.I am aware of: -Duncan Potter Genesis (016977 3123).genesiswatchmaking.co.uk/But this is in Cardiff.watchworks.co.uk/Again this is in Bristol so would require posting.I have tried Whittles Jewellers in Preston as they have an onsite watchmaker. They say they will do the dial swap etc but only for the cost of a full service 480. I informed them I intend to purchase a brand new watch (possibly from them) to do the conversion but they say all seals will need replacing, blah blah. This seems a bit excessive on a brand new watch and I don't really buy into it although they did sa
U.S. Pricing July 1, 2015
Stopped by a friendly/local AD today and wanted to share some pricing information as of July 1, 2015 for some of the popular references here in the U.S. Have a good one.5711 1A - $24,8005711 1R - $51,0005712 1A - $33,2005712 R - $43,5005960 1A - $51,0005205 R / G - $48,0005980 1AR - $62,4005980 1R - $85,1005980 R - $59,8005990 1A - $53,3005235 G - $49,9005146 R / G - 41,4005146 P - $64,100
Stuff ADs say...
Thought I'd start a thread on hilarious or outrageous things people here have been told by ADs, or overheard at them.A couple of mine:- The D500 white dial is going to be discontinued in 2018- There's a price increase coming next month, so buy now (October 2017)- Datejusts are hot sellers, no discount is available- This year's short supply of Rolexes are because it takes a year to make themI was also once told a story of how someone committed to buy a $180,000 Rolex, but only on condition he be supplied with 2 D500s, one black and one white dial. The AD produced the watches, and then the guy was like I don't want to buy the $180,000 one anymore, but I'll take those two!
