Blancpain Dives to 500 Fathoms
On the eve of Baselworld 2009, Blancpain presents the big sister of its now famous Fifty Fathoms watch: the brand-new 500 Fathoms. More high-performance and high-tech than ever, the brand's latest diver's watch is water resistant to 1000 meters. The 48 mm brushed titanium case is equipped with a helium decompression valve. To enhance readability, Blancpain has designed large phosphorescent Arabic numerals that are hollowedinto the sunray-brushed metal appliques. The luminescent coating on the hour-markers, bezel markings and hands, along with the red tip of the sweep seconds hand, enhance readability in all circumstances. The luminescent base of the black dial reveals its fluorescence only in the dark, while the date appears in white against a black background at 4 o'clock. My new AP15710! Quick take
Following on from my previous Thread with a Poll on which dial colour to get:.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=518371I ended up with the Black Dial 15710ST! Thank you everyone who helped me out there and took the time to post your comments, really appreciated it. This isnt a full on review as there are many reviews online that does a better job than me, but from another watch guys perspective. Here are a few shots of my AP and my thoughts. Background: I wanted something sporty that I can wear casually, in various climates, during holidays etcetc but didnt want the usual suspects like Omega, IWC Aquatimer, Rolex Sub/SD, Tudor etc. Not dissing them ofcourse, they are all amazingly high quality robust watches but just wanted something abit different. Then i came across the AP diver, something i never considered before but after trying one on at a local AD, I was in love. Ive owned many watches from different brands before, including the ones in my sig, but others such as IWC, numerous Panerais
LOL Royal Oak Damage
So I was done running on the treadmill, I pull the audio jack from the iphone, it swings across and makes contact with bezel and put a small ding in it. You got to be kidding me.
Is this watch worth having a service done?
Speedmaster Automatic. The pushers for the chrono stick so I was thinking of getting a service on it but I think that the service may cost more than the watch is worth and again, I never really use the chronograph feature. It keeps very accurate time otherwise. What do you think?
5522A is amazing!
I was finally able to see the 5522a (time only) at my Patek AD... WHAT A WATCH! I never really liked it until handling it in person! No, I wasn't able to add it to my collection, I was there to pick up the new JLC Master date (sector dial), so I just couldn't swing another purchase!Anyone able to grab one yet? I'd love to see some wristshots!
