Some?big news for little watchmakers: it has been announced that Vacheron Constantin, the world's oldest continuously operating watchmaking brand, will be sharing their wisdom with the next generation of horological heroes. On Saturday, April 25th, 2015, Vacheron Constantin will be holding a children's workshop at their New York boutique as part of Madison Avenue Watch Week. Young visitors will be encouraged to tap into 260 years of experience, have their questions answered and maybe even have their hearts set on the path towards a career in the industry.Vacheron Constantin opened their first mono-brand US boutique in New York City in September, 2011The hands-on workshop will be led by an instructor from the North American Institute of Swiss Watchmaking and children will have the opportunity to learn?the basics of?how a mechanical watch works and even get the chance to make and take home their own clock! From a personal perspective, this is very exciting news. 26470or vs 26320or ??
Thinking of going with some gold. Would love to hear opinion from the forum. I have a 7.5 wrist and usually love the 42mm ROO (I understand the love the 44mm ROO gets here and while its a great piece, its not for me).I would do the 26470or on strap or the 26320or on bracelet with a black face. Opinions are welcome...Fire Away !
Omega Seamaster PO Chrono Anti Magnetic Cover Question
HiI recently ventured out to a Planet Ocean Chronograph with the 3313B movement. As a routine check before purchase my watchmaker opened the case back to ensure everything was working fine. The problem is the anti-magnetic cover that is installed in the 2008 version is not available in this version which I dated to 2006.I am unable to nail it down whether it was designed without the cover or whether it was left out the last time it was opened? Can anyone shed some light on this matter?
