Vacheron Constantin Adds 14-Day Tourbillon to its Platinum Collection
In 2006, Vacheron Constantin became the first watch brand to dedicate an entire collection to platinum timepieces. This year, the venerable brand adds a version of its Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon to its Collection Excellence Platine.Like other watches in Vacheron’s Platinum Collection, the new Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-Day Tourbillon uses 950 platinum �� considered the noblest of metals, with a purity of 95 percent compared to 75 percent for 18k rose gold �� for not only its 42-mm case, but also its dial and even the threads in the watch’s leather strap. The elegant, clean dial has slightly off-centered hours and minutes hands, an aperture for the tourbillon at 6 o’clock and a power-reserve indicator at 12 o’clock. Should I flip my 5712 for a 5960P?
Dear all, I purchased my 5712 brand new in May last year, I still like it but I find the 5960P grey (cheaper) or blue (my first choice but considerably more expensive than the grey) tempting. Firstly, It would mean trading a brand new piece with a pre-owned (which to some people, is not something to be worried about).Secondly, it would mean loosing my Nautilus.Thirdly, I would have to come up with approximately the double of the worth of my 5712.I find the 5960 design very interesting (and yes I have read that the 5960 has had many complaints about its movement breaking down, and chrono seconds hand falling out of line with 12 o'clock position) and it is also a platinum piece. It is also a step up from the Nautilus but again, a Nautilus is a Nautilus, a category on its own.Currently I own 3940G (I just returned my 3940J to the store where I purchased it as it was faulty), 3938G blue, 5712, and I just sold my 5164.Should I also sell my 5712 1/A for the 5960P? How many SD4K owners will be upgrading to the SD43 after seeing pics?
Pics were released yesterday, and they are already flooding the internet. I'm sure many who proclaimed their disdain for the new SD43 are now experiencing some bit tongue-in-cheeks after seeing the pics.I wonder how many SD4K owners will be flipping for the new upgraded SD43?

Rolex Submariner 16803
Good afternoon everyone, I am on the search for purchasing my first Rolex. I have been primarily looking at submariners, particularly pre-owned, excellent condition, and from several decades ago. I have came across reference 16803 with the black on black bezel and dial. The watch is in Excellent condition and comes with original box and papers. I would be paying around $7,000 USD. As a 20 year old I'm not as experienced, so I would love to get your opinions on the price and anything specific I should look out for on the watch. Thank you and have a great day.
