Cartier Calibre Astrotourbillon Watch
Over the last few years my interest and respect for Cartier has really grown. Sure, a lot of their timepieces are mass produced, but they have a penchant for good, lasting design. No doubt I am not a fan of all of their watches, but little escapes from their manufacture without being really good for at least some people. Good design - as I am learning more and more - is not easy. Designing something to look outstanding and really cool for 5 minutes is really not that hard. Executing a design that looks good each time you look at it, for years, isn't so easy. In this department, Cartier has succeeded for a long time. I find myself wondering what their secret is.Interestingly enough, watches with "good" designs don't affect you right away. You might look at them a bit ambiguously at first. Then, after paying attention to them for a while, the quality of the design grows on you. I have never looked at a Cartier watch once and been like, "Winner!" It takes me a while to appreciate them. Are the Silvery/White Royal Oak dials all the same including 15202, 15300, 15400 and 15450 or are they somehow different?Thanks.

Omega Box deterioration
I've noticed over the past few years that my Omega Box seems to be deteriorating more & more. It's stored in a dry area so I don't think its anything to do with dampness. I noticed a few weeks ago on the sales forum someone selling an omega & the watch box seemed to be in a similar condition to my own. My SMP was bought in '98 so it is a fair age but my Rolex SD box which bought in 2005 still looks brand newAnyone else noticed this ?Been wearing this now since mid October straight through to now. Rolex SD been demoted to No 2 watch at the moment

New to Panerai, looking for advice!
Hello everyone!I've seen too many Panerai now to be able to ignore them any longer, and I'd like to add one to my collection. Problem is, in Chicago, there's only one place that I know of that has them (Tourneau, sadly) and after reluctantly heading over there today, they didn't have THAT many to look at.Bit of background for me and what I'm looking for. I have small wrists and I wear a Daytona daily right now. I had my eye on the PAM512 from photos but I had no idea how truly small this watch was and when I tried it on, I wasn't really digging it. I see that the 572 seems to be a larger, automatic version of this, but I can't find a lot of photos of the 572, especially on a wrist.One thing I don't like about some Panerai is the very wide and thick watch strap. I'm looking for something decidedly smaller, like you'd find with a white/rose gold Daytona, if that's possible at all.Further, I know my Rolexes inside and out, but aren't as familiar with the classic Panerai's and anything I s
