Chopard Mille Miglia Watch Flavors For 2010
Like the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore or Hublot Big Bang, the Chopard Mille Miglia is a constant force of consistency, which little changes each year to help spice up a core collection timepiece that hopes to find a delicious new flavor to tempt you. It is like you know you enjoy ice cream, but are sick of chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry. So in this case, with the Mille Miglia, Chopard offers up potentially tasty new flavors to re-enliven your interest. 2010 first sees two new limited edition models with the Chopard Mille Miglia XL GT Chrono 2010, which is limited to 2010 pieces (imagine that), and the new Chopard Mille Miglia Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph 2010 - a new version of a Monaco tribute watch limited to 250 pieces in rose gold, with the steel version being a new edition to the overall collection (until they discontinue it down the line). Both watches are pleasing to the eye, fun, and fashionable.Yes, fashionable. Like Cartier's lower-end (still not very
Typical AP Discount?
When you guys purchased your AP, what was your discount? I was at a non-AD that sells a collection of nice watches from AP, PP, VC etc and they offered me 35% off on a BNIB ROC rose gold on band. It came with boxes and papers, but made me question the authenticity with such a steep discount. Especially since they had to order it, so it wasn't dead stock that they were trying to move. Thanks for your time.
Which modern Omega Speedmaster is most true to the original moonwatch?
Hi all,First time poster and a first time buyer checking in! I have been eyeing the Speedmaster for a good year or so but have found myself overwhelmed with all the limited editions, the different movements, the different types of glass used, some automatic, some manual wind and so on.A big reason as to why I really have fallen in love with this watch, in addition to its beauty, is its historical significance. Therefore, I am looking to buy a model that is most similar to the one that was on the actual moon landing. So far, I have come to understand that I am looking for a Speedmaster that has a manual wind movement and hesalite glass but I am not entirely sure what reference number or what makes a movement better than another. I am also not sure whether to buy second and or new from an AD.I would greatly appreciate tips and recommendations from the more experienced and that is why I have registered myself here. All tips welcome! Thanks,DC

My Rolex story - new chapters added monthly
I was never big on Rolex due to the connotations associated with it and the fact that everyone and their mom knows Rolex - I don't like drawing attention to myself. I finally decided to give in and buy my first Rolex once my wife gave me the go ahead.I walked in to an AD 3 months ago and picked up a 114060 SubC. Great watch as it is built like a tank and the bracelet on it nothing short of amazing. Buying the 114060 was a bad idea . . . as it was an eye opener. A month later I walked in to a local jeweler that only carries pre-owned watches including quite a few Rolexes. I tried on a Polar 16570. I always thought the watch looked bland in pictures but in person I fell in love immediately. I went back home and did some research and ended up purchasing one with drilled lug holes and SELs. (side note - I had no idea what SELs meant only a few months earlier)I've since been kind of struggling with the SubC. While it is amazing in build quality and that bracelet is the best on the market, t
