JC de Castelbajac Lego Watch Collection
Honestly, what can I really say about these watches that isn't clear from what you see. Designer Lego style digital timepieces from French designer JC de Castelbajac (JC DC). It is actually part of his whole future Lego wear lineup. You can see the Lego version of it in the video, and images from the real runway show below. Odd? Sure. Provocative? Maybe. "No darling, leave the Lego baseball cap on in bed, I like it that way." Weird stuff, but it is cool. The JC DC Lego watches comes in a number of colors - six versions to be exact. See them being worn all at the same time all Nicolas Hayek style. The style is 80s, very 80s - but apparently that is in right now. He seems to suggest that the future will be like the 80s. Given what is going on in the world right now, I could use some of that "America is the best place in the world" mentality these days. With the popularity of Lego as well as the positive association many people have with them, I have to say that JC DC did a nice job making
Just got my first Audemars Piguet
I had a YG GMT-IIC for a while and ended up getting rid of it [see other posts for details]. I thought I'd get a Daytona but I ended up going with something different - an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Chronograph. Didn't go with the Offshore because it's too big in my opinion and not as timeless as the Royal Oak. It's 18K yellow gold with white dial and black croc strap on a matching AP gold deployment. Got it at Westime on Rodeo Dr. I'll probably post more pictures in the coming days.
Brushed finish on SmP
I made the mistake of asking an AD to change my strap. He came back two minutes later proudly saying he had polished my watch (which did not need polishing). He polished part of my strap to a mirror finish - I've fixed that. But I've just noticed one of the sides is polished at the lug end. Does anyone know what grade of abrasion Omega use on the sides of their SmP?
Need Aquanaut specialists
You know friends, I used to reach rare Patek birds , so today I need to confirm some informations concerning Aquanaut:For everybody, the 324-393 caliber appear, on Aquanaut in 2007 with the introduction of the new Aquanaut refrence 516X. Which mean that all the Aquanaut references 506X was equiped by caliber 330 SC or 315 SC. Which mean in other terms, that it's impossible, because of the date of creation of the 324-393 to see it in a 506X case. Am I correct ?
