New York Boutique Prototype 44mm Offshore Gold
Hi everyone, I am new on this forum, my name is Burak, living in New York. I currently have the blue dial royal oak 41mm, yesterday i went to the boutique and checked the so called''summer edition prototype'' ?? Think about it like the white ceramic offshore with the white strap but all gold. Never found pictures online, never seen one. I asked the lady(manuela) if i can take pictures but the answer was no. Then she told me that this watch is a prototype and will be out in June and they are taking deposits. I really like the watch, seriously thinking about putting a deposit but would love to hear from you guys since you know the wrist game a lot more than i do. Thank you in advanceBurak
My New AP Chrono!
Just received this Royal Oak Chrono, the Alinghi City of Sails from Tony G at JustRolexes. It was produced in 2003, one of 1250 made. It's 39mm, so a bit smaller than most of what AP is producing these days, and I like that it has kind of an offshore vibe but scaled down. Also, as you can tell from the position of the date, it has the 2385 movement, so is a relatively thin 11.5mm.I'm excited to have an AP in the rotation again -- I had a 15300 a while ago, but traded it in for my Nautilus. The AP fills a sporty but elegant role for me, more sporty than the Patek, but not as sporty as a Rolex.
moon struck
really impressed by this one when i saw it at mayors with gerardog. the see through caaeback versiob of the moon watch that retails for 6250. who owns one and what are your thoughts?
Speedmaster Pro time keeping...
Hi,After owning the Speedmaster Pro for 3 years, I have began to realize that it keeps better time with the chronograph running than when it is not. I have timed it (time.gov) and it is spot on with the chrono running. When it is not, the time keeping would be +6 /day (average over 1 week) I have 3 questions about my 3 years old Speedmaster Pro:1) Is it usual to have the time keeping different with the chronograph running? 2) Is there something wrong with my Speedy to have different time keeping when the chrono running and when it's not?3) Will it cause unnecessary wear and tear of the mechanism within if the chrono is left running all the time?Interestingly, when I brought it to a authorized watchmaker to check on its time keeping( with the chrono NOT running), he reports that it is spot on and does not require any regulation when it is +6/day over that 1 week.Perhaps his accuracy machine is off?Thank you all for your replies...Here's a pic of it with my Seamaster Titanium:Cheers!!
My wife and I are blessed to have these. Thanks to DavidSW
