Incoming! A compliment to my Yachtmaster
I have been contemplating trading my Mint Condition Platinum bezel Blue dial Yachtmaster for a Black dial Rolex Daytona. The cost diff is a bit but finding the right watch has been a challenge. What have found has either been no trade situations or the price diff just to much.I decided on an alternative and boy am I happy with the result. Why have one watch when I can have 2I bought myself a beautiful Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow that I couldn't be happier with!image.jpg
Please share your views and help me decide: Patek Philippe's 5396R-012 vs 5205R-001
All,I am interested in adding a Patek Philippe annual calendar to my collection and, after quite some deliberation, have narrowed the selection to the 5396R-012 and the 5205R-001. Both pieces appeal to me and are ultimately excellent interpretations of this complication, whilst each has its own unique character. I have sought to highlight some of my headline thoughts below;5396R-012+ A relatively more clean dial design+ Fantastically-formed Breguet numerals+ Supplied on a folding clasp deployant buckle+ Slimmer case+ A classic interpretation built on the iconic Calatrava case design philosophy- Complications are relatively more obscured and less easy to read5205R-001+ Spectacularly-scuplted and skelotonised lugs alongside an interesting concave (but appearing convex due to high-polishing) bezel+ Easier to read annual calendar complications, whilst the moonphase is the same as the 5396 variants+ A modern interpretation that appears to have greater versatility, being slightly more casual
Any love for the white dial Nautilus?
Most Nautilus owners and enthusiasts love the blue dial and it is a nice rich blue color. My first Nautilus was a blue dial, and although it does not get much wrist time anymore, it was and will be a classic watch. However is there any love for the white dial Nautilus? With its reduced popularity, are people seeing lower AD prices and secondary market prices?
Birthday Buy?
I'm turning 21 soon in approximately 10 days. Can not decide if I want to buy a YG day date or not. I love the watch and will definitely buy it on at a later date if not now. On a daily basis, i sport a Tag Heuer Aquaracer and a Rolex Submariner and occasionally my fathers AP Royal Oak 18k. All prices mentioned below are in CAD.I pretty much have 5 questions.- How much should I pay for a used daydate yg? My budget is under 15k for which i have seen many watches but should i buy one for less or should i buy one for 15k. - Should i pay more for box and papers or should i get one without? The guy i will be buying from is a trusted dealer and friend in Toronto. The price for the one with papers is 17500- The normal wrist size doesn't seem to fit me, so how much should i pay for an extra link? Inherently how much do they cost??-Bark or no bark? I seem to like to bark as well as the non bark, without any information on bark i would have to buy the non bark. Is there anything special about ba
