New Season Of Man vs. Wild Has Bear Grylls Wearing A Casio Dynamic Wave Ceptor Watch
It all started with a Breitling Emergency watch, which turned into a Bremont Chronograph for a while, and now seems to be a favored Casio Dynamic Wave Ceptor. Bear Grylls flirts with a lot of timepieces. With the absence of new episodes (or any more ever) of Survivorman, I have been forced to turn to the less real reality based wilderness survival show, Man vs. Wild. Survivorman's Les Stroud presented a more real show given that he was the star and cameraman. After a few short seasons Survivorman is no longer, but apparent promises from Les point to a survival related new venture. The competitor of Survivorman, also on the Discovery channel is Man vs. Wild, a show that many of you are familiar with. Bear Grylls, the star of the show is an ex British Special Forces veteran who apparently knows the tricks to survival all over the world. Man vs. Wild. I am sure he is well briefed before entering new areas. Now a few seasons matured, Man vs. Wild has started to develop its character. While
My new one
So Mark (mcneguy) got my 41.5mm Aqua Terra but here is its replacement, a 38.5:Same silver Opaline dial and beautiful 8500 movement.I had forgotten that I had ordered an Omega strap which arrived yesterday. Unfortunately, it is a 20mm and the new AT takes a 19mm. I called my dealer who said for me to send it back and he would ship me the correct strap and deployment. With 40mm (39mm?) Rolex models in the collection now, I find myself moving toward smaller watches in general.I'll try to get a wrist shot soon and post a side by side with the 41.5mm.Fr. John?
A quick question?

Thoughts on trading Hulk for SD4K
My hulk is the only Rolex I have owned from new, however I feel it is less comfortable than my 116520 and have less of a bond with the hulk than with the Daytona. Have always loved the SD4K and the fact it will soon be a rare piece makes me want one even more. Anybody experience he SD4K being uncomfortable on the wrist? As I say I have a sub now and I wouldnt say its uncomfortable (more comfy than BLNR I had btw) just its not as comfortable as my Daytona. My hulk is mint 2017 so should be looking around ?8000. A SD4K 2017 is around ?10,000
Dent in a brand new Rolex Submariner
Hey guys,After following this forum for years, I finally bought my first Rolex. It is a beautiful Rolex Submariner. It was always between the GMT IIc and the Submariner and finally I decided on the Sub.I bought the watch from an AD locally. He tried to size the watch yesterday but it has been sized well enough. I need to go get it fixed today. While looking at the watch this morning, I saw a small dent on the lug. On the face, it seems prominent and I am considering going back to the AD to have him fix it for me. I know the watch will go through its own set of scratches but I did not expect it to come with a dent after paying a hefty sum for it. I am guessing the person trying to size it yesterday made the mark while using the screwdriver. Some pics below of the scratch. Let me know what you guys think.
