New Flavors of Citizen Campanola Eco-Drive Watches For Basel World 2008
I call any watch a "new flavor" when the look and feel change a bit, but overall the watch is the same, being part of a series. This is a watch maker's way of sprucing up a line a bit, or adding a few more color schemes. Don't let this practice fool you into thinking it is a lazy attempt at a new watch. Watch companies would be unwise not to allow a watch to fully realize its potential. A slight change of design can drastically change a watch's character, and move it into your favored versus dismissed pile. For 2008, Citizen is releasing a handful of interesting offerings at Basel World. Exciting Incoming- Laptimer
Out of the blue last week I decided I was ready to try a concept AP. I was pretty dead set on one of the toubillon pieces. After a few phone calls with Paul and some much needed enabling, I sent a random text in regards to the Laptimer. Neither of us thought it was even an option, but the response to my text indicated that one was sitting in the safe as another client had backed out. It had just come in and would be the only one this AD would receive. What were the chances of that? The piece came on Wednesday and after spending some quality time with it this weekend in Chicago watching the Cubs lose, I am excited to present the AP Laptimer! Thanks to Paul for always pushing me into decisions I shouldn't make ;)
New Yorks Times And AP
Today's New York Times edition had a Watch Your Time insert. It's mainly a promotional vehicle with some watch talk. Page 38 shows a 44mm Ceramic Chrono but describes the 42mm black chrono from the new series of ceramic pushers and crowns. There is also a highlight on Page 52 on the Concept Tourbillon and more detailed article on page 54 about the Tourbillon and AP Offshore history. Ok light reading.
Free gift from AP!
