Unexpected Benefits Of Buying Watches From Authorized Dealers And Brand Boutiques
Did you know that there are valuable benefits to buying watches at authorized dealers and brand boutiques that aren't typically advertised, and that you very well might not know about? It's true, and while our goal isn't to tell people where to buy their watches, there is an infrequently discussed story here to share with watch lovers. As a consumer, your job is to get the most value for your money. Smart consumers spend less to get more, and when people overpay, we look down upon them. These natural tendencies of consumer behavior aren't abandoned when it comes to buying luxury goods such as watches. The point of this article is to show certain "hidden areas of value" that might very well change why and where people make their watch purchase decisions. I first want to put this whole article into context, because people without a lot of experience buying watches might not understand all the places where watches are available, and their various pluses and minuses. There are official and u
Review: Techne GosHawk (Ref. 411)
Previously on worn&wound we've discussed those watches or watch brands that manage to achieve superb design and quality in a surprisingly / unbelievably affordable price point.? Think Steinhart with their $400, ETA powered pieces, or the $200 Maratac Pilot with a quality automatic and sapphire crystal the size of your head. ?Having spent some time with the $338?Techn GosHawk (and previously Sparrowhawk) I am beginning to think that Techn deserves a place in that conversation.?The GosHawk pairs unique aviator styling and excellent craftsmanship with a quality Japanese automatic movement and superior components.Case: Bead Blasted Stainless SteelMovement: Miyota 8217 AutomaticDial: BlackLume: C3Lens: Sapphire with AR coatingStrap: “Saddle” Oiled LeatherWater Res.: 50mDimensions: 41.4mm x 48.7mmThickness: 12.5mmLug Width: 20mmCrown: Screw downWarranty: 1 YearCaseThe case of the GosHawk is simple and clean, matching an aesthetic seen throughout the watch. New Member sharing pics - Rolex Sub + Omega
Hello Everyone,I'm a new member on this forum and this is my first post. I have owned a submariner for the past four years and have enjoyed every moment with it. Apart from being such a classic it was MY first Rolex and will always have a special place in my heart. The first Rolex I ever bought was for my wife - a TT rose gold lady datejust. I fell in love with watches many many years ago. My first love was the Omega Seamaster which was out of my reach. As time progressed I graduated (in my thoughts) to the Submariner but thought I would buy the Planet Ocean as I knew that I would never be able to afford a Submariner. I remember the countless times I entered the showroom, tried the watch and leave without buying one. Anyways fast forward a few years I was able to buy two rolexes, first for my wife and second for myself. After the Submariner my desire for the Planet Ocean died but the Speedmaster entered my wish list. I wanted one on the leather strap as I didn't like the bracelet on th
Hey guys - first trip to Italy
Hey guys! I'm planning and preparing for my first trip to Italy in June. Planning on a few days in Rome and a few days in Florence/Tuscany. From a watch lover's perspective, is there any must do or must see things while I'm over there? I would obviously like to visit the original Panerai store, but is there anything in addition to that?Thank you for your tips!
Help me decide- Rolex ND Sub (114060) or Rolex SD50 (126600)
Out of these 2 beauties, which one should be my next Rolex? :)They look so similar, yet seem so different! I have small wrists relatively speaking, so I feel that the 114060 would suit me better from a size perspective. But on the other hand, the SD50 is a beauty too!
