Seiko "Shinji Hattori Special Model" Limited Edition Watch For Japan
Seiko once again teases the world with another Japan-only, high-end watch that they released over the summer (June) in Japan as a very small limited edition. This is a pretty lovely model and is a rare glimpse into Seiko corporate culture as well as humor. It is also very "Japanese" with elements that have double meanings and with the beach theme that is meant to honor the shores of Shonan, which is located in central Japan along the coast. Called the "SH Special Model" (ref. SCQE001), this timepiece is really celebrating several things about the brand at once. AP RO Series A registry - any interest?
Greetings,The initial run Audemars Royal Oak Series A; most know of it, some collect them, fewer have compiled detailed information. There is no public listing or registery of what survived, prices recently paid and condition that I am aware of. Any interest in compiling this info?

3120 beat rate
For those with APs equipped with the venerable 3120 (which I'm considering)....I read that it beats at 21,600 bph. If you're on this forum, I presume you have at least one Rolex with a 3135 that's clicking away at 28,800 bph. I presume the less smooth movement of the second hand doesn't bother you, but everything I read suggests higher beat rate is required for greater accuracy. What has been your experience with +/- per 24 hrs? If it's in the 10-15 seconds range, is that considered an acceptable characteristic of this calibre (I realize it is not a certified chronometer)?I'm drawn to the AP, but owning only Rolex and Omega, all within +/- 3 seconds per day, I want to set my expectations appropriately.

I sold my Tudor Black Bay and my Omega Speedmaster sapphire sandwich to buy my GMT Master II. I don't regret it at all! However, I now kind of view the Speedy as the one that got away .
