Ulysse Nardin Astrolabium Galileo Galilei Watch Features Lots Of Info: Doesn't Know How To Share The Knowledge
Ask someone wearing a Ulysse Nardin Astrolabium Galileo Galilei watch what time it is, and they may be forced to flash their wrist at you rather than respond. So what time is it? Your guess is as good as mine. While I can figure it out, this watch reminds me a Dr. Seuss creation gone wrong (all it needs is fur of some sort). So much information, it is virtually a practical joke. The watch is touted as providing information useful to astronomers. Meaning they need something to distract their view for a couple of hours while they figure out what time it is? All kidding aside, this is a nice looking watch, that costs a bundle (used one is on eBay right at over $20k). Only thing, is that it is helplessly confusing. If you study a list of all the features it purportedly has, you'll agree it is impressive, if not overkill. Here is one of those machines that tells you real information, but information nonetheless you don't need to know.An example? It indicates the "Draco line." Yea, that is wh
MKII Nassau Review
MKII is a bit of an anomaly in the watch world. Their watches are immediate cult favorites, they base their designs largely if not entirely on classic designs from military and tool watches from the 50's, 60's and 70's and they are basically a company of one. MKII is the project of Bill Yao, a perfectionist with an eye for the details and obsessive dedication to quality and execution. In hand, a MKII has the feel of a watch worth much more. These are not just dials and movements and cases put together and sold, each piece is carefully designed, assembled, examined and tested. They are all built with top quality components, and though their prices reflect this all, they are not outrageously priced.Case: 316L SteelMovement: ETA 2836-2Dial: BlackLume: YesLens: SapphireStrap: BraceletWater Res.: 200mDimensions: 39.2 x 47.95mmThickness: 14.5 mmLug Width: 20 mmCrown: 7 x 4 mm screw downWeight: 144g on bracelet (our measure)Warranty: yesPrice: $895.00MKII's most recent release, the Nassau, is

Rolex magazine. Lucky pickup from my AD
I am soon to purchase my first Rolex. Debating between the 114060 and the 116610LN. While I was there trying them on I asked about the submariner issue of the magazine and was blessed with 3 issues. The submariner, the yacht-master, and the sky-dweller. Great reading and coffee table material. If anyone needs either I'm willing to ship to someone. I am keeping the sub issue for myself tho.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
