Affordable Vintage: Seiko 6105

Enjoy!Seiko has a rich history in the world of dive watches, and it’s safe to say that none is as iconic as the venerable Seiko 6105-8110/9 (aka 6105-811X). It is the definitive Seiko diver, and it holds it’s own against the other iconic divers of the 1970’s. This is known as Seiko’s 3rd generation diver, following the 6217 (aka 62mas)?and the slimmer 6105-8000/9. The 6105-8110 and 6105-8119 are exactly the same, but the last digit in the reference number indicates in which market the watch was originally sold.The 6105-811X was made from 1970-1977, and came in two slight variations. 5040 new price.
Hi folks, Can anyone give me a rough idea of what the new price of a 5040 (preferably G or R) was in the UK? I've lusted after one for a while now and having tried on its bigger brother the 5940 at the weekend, I think it might be time to consider actually buying one more seriously! Having seen the new price of that (��57k) I'd be interested to know what the 5040 was going for new?Grateful for any help you could offer.

Pam 372 vs pam 422 weight
Hi does anyone know the weight difference between the two ? I'm assuming the 422 is heavier due to sapphire crystal and slightly thicker case but by how much? My ad only has the 372 in stock and it feels light.
