My New Omega Seamaster
While in Cincinnati this week I went to some fine jewerly stores. I saw some nice Rolex, but did not buy one since I can get a better discount here where I live. I did however buy me a new Omega Seamaster. I got the popular 300m Diver. 41mm, automatic movement, 23 jewels and a certified chronometer. All stainless with the helium escape valve. Model 2254.50.00 I think its a very nice watch. Will wear this one at work so to keep wear off my SS GMT. I work in a hospital and some days my watch takes a beating. Heck, but thats what there for to wear and enjoy!

Help me decide....
I am wrestling with a decision and was hoping to get some opinions. Note:Love all three references and looking forward to becoming a PP owner.I have a small handful of new and vintage Rolex, PAM, Seiko, etc. Same trusted seller for both options so both are safe buys.So here goes:Option A) A un-used, 2014, complete set...5146g (cream) and was thinking of adding a un-used 5167 (on rubber) to that order. A nice dress/sport combo. Option B)Came up at the last minute: A excellent/mint, complete set, several year old...5960p (gray) at a very good price. For an additional $5K (plus or minus), I can have the 5960p instead of the 5146/5167 combo. Do I wade into the pool with a combo or jump in with both feet with 5960?! Stolen Rolexes
Is there way to determine if a Rolex is stolen? i.e. is there some sort of national registry? Does every individual watch have it's own serial number? Thanks.

There's been an overwhelming barrage of threads lately where regular Joes like myself have complained about the impossibility of getting a stainless steel Rolex at retail. I only very recently (last week) learned of just how impossible a feat this really is. The popular SS models are pretty much exclusively reserved for VIP's-- people who've spent $100k+ on jewellery and less-desirable Rolexes/watches-- and while they may have lists for us ordinary shmucks, they don't really mean a thing. Even if you're so lucky to hear the (deceitful) words you're on the list, it's really just a thinly veiled no as there'll always be someone who comes along before your name is reached who'll get dibs first. It just really irks me that having the money--$10k+-- is simply no longer enough to get you a watch. $10k may be chump change to some folks on here, but to the vast majority of the world it's a hell of a lot of money, no less to spend on a mass-produced watch boasting such antiquated mechanisms- ju
