Sadflip+happytrade=incoming in 2 months
Just completed a trade for my 15202 that I will be reviving in about 2 months and oh i really really can't wait, it's been a grail for a while but if you know me you might of known my abused 15300 which was very hard for me to flip until I saw a 15202 in steel irl. I am down to 3 watches in my safe from 6 gave the JLC geophysic to my dad, then sold the Hublot Big Bang which I has been killing my soul until I sold it and the 15300 is sadly gone. The 3 watches that I have now are 2 Pateks 5164 and my 5712 and I have an AP 44mm FC soon I'll be getting back my Subc no date from service, after I get my Subc it will be down to the 15202 and I'll be back to 5 watches I don't think I could change much or remove any of my watches from my current collection. Why is the Submariner viewed as superior to the Seamaster?
I have not owned a Submariner yet, but I will one day. I do own a Seamaster Pro now though. I have handled and worn many a Submariner and to me at least it does not feel like its a $5K+ watch. It is very well built, but feels cheap in its bracelet mostly, and feels light to me. My SMP on the other hand is built like a tank. The bracelet is many times better than the Rolex bracelet. Im aware that Rolex uses a completely in house built movement, which contributes to the price of a Sub I am sure. At the same time I have trouble believing it is head and shoulders above a Swiss ETA based movement which becomes the Omega Ca. 1120 in my SMP. I firmly believe it is Rolex's control of their dealers and marketing, along with annual price increases on new watches that keeps the prices of the pre owned Subs so high. I actually had a guy with a Sub talk down to me yesterday when he saw my Omega. He said Heh you have an Omega, I a Rolex Submariner, a real watch. Then he proceeded to shove it in my f
