Roger Dubuis 43mm Golden Square Watch - Available On James List
Looking at the past a bit I want to bring your attention to the Roger Dubuis Golden Square. Not the contemporary model, but the one from a few years ago. In a 43mm wide square case, the watch screamed luxury in a way few other watches have. Bold and loud, the watch still in good taste. People that wear one suddenly feel a bit more important, but you aren't sure why. In fact, I believe the watch may still be in production, even though there are newer Golden Square watches available. While the Golden Square came with Roman or Arabic numerals, I think the Roman numeral version is the king when it comes to appearances. The Arabic numeral version is arguably easier to read, but doesn't have as impressive a face.In some respects the watch looks like a (more) metrosexual Cartier. The blued steel hands (gold in at least some of the pieces0 are larger than you might expect and stylized just a bit less than Louis the XIV's wardrobe. The dial is rich with artistic merit, and could never be referr

First AP! Help on AP 44mm RG ROO Straps
After contemplating for the longest time, I finally pulled the trigger today on my first AP. Unfortunately given my small wrist, I need a short strap and was contemplating options other than rubber. I was wondering if anyone has their AP on a different strap and would be kind enough to post some pictures? Currently considering going for either there GP strap with the red sides or the crocodile strap. Thanks in advance!
omega clasp too tight
I purchased a speedy bracelet from ebay for my speedy pro 3570.50. Paid a pretty penny for it too. The bracelet is the older style 1498 with 840 end links.I am trying to figure out whether it is genuine or whether I got suckered into a fake.Reason why I feel something is not right is the clasp. The clasp is very stiff. It actually hurts my thumb trying to open the clasp, and it hurts my wrist when trying to lock it in. It is bloody tight! Are the omega clasps meant to be this bloody tight?
Brand new Patek Aquanaut bezel defect
Dear all, I have come to realize that my 2 week old brand new 5164R has 2 defects on the bezel. One at 7 o'clock and one at 11 o'clock. The angle between the brushed plateau and the 45 degreed angle joining the satined polished facade seems to have been over polished by the watchmaker. I can't seem to take proper pictures to show but in bright light, you can see the deformation. I purchased it at a German official Patek retailer not far from Dusseldorf, it was a sealed piece and was opened before my eyes. I didn't realize this until a few days ago, when the light shining at those 2 spots caught my attention and upon examining with a loupe, I confirm the 2 overpolished, or rather looks like dented corners at 7 and 11 positions. The trouble spots are not big but they sure are defects. I cannot believe it passed Patek's quality control department. Now I am left questioning what to do about it.Anyone had similar experiences?Thank youSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
