Christopher Ward C11 PVD Chronograph Hands-On
A few months ago, Christopher Ward released a few extra options for their C8 and C11 pilot watches, bringing a PVD case and buckle finish to the already broad line.? This was a welcome addition that was asked for by forum members and reviewers alike.? This is my first time taking a look at the C11, which has always caught my eye with its unique shape and modern aviation feel.Case: 316L Stainless Steel – PVD BlackMovement: Ronda 5030.DDial: Chrono – Aviation StyleLens: Sapphire with Anti-ReflectiveCase Back: Solid – Screw InStrap: Brown or Black Leather, BuckleWater Res.: 100mDimensions: 42mm Case, 22mm StrapThickness: 10.8mmCrown: Press InWeight: 102gThe standard C11 comes with a Sellita SW200 automatic movement while the chronograph utilizes a Ronda 5030.D quartz movement.? Clearly this was to kill two birds with one stone, add a less expensive option and wrap a chrono in at the same time, which would usually cost a heck of a lot more with an mechanical, such as a Va
Audemars Piguet Water Resistance
Hi all. I popped by the Audemars Piguet boutique today to get a new strap for my beloved AP. I decided to get a complimentary water-resistance test since it doesn't take more than 5 minutes. To my shock and disappointment, my AP ROO ref 26400SO, which was barely 3 month old from an Official AD, did not pass the test. They told me that I should send it in for a service, and anything done to the watch would be FOC as it is under warranty. However, after blowing $46,800 Singapore Dollars on a watch, should I not be expecting quality control better than this? I am frankly a bit upset that this is an issue, and I now have to send it back to AP for 6-8 weeks. Has anyone ever experienced this? What do you guys think about this lack of QC? Is it something that I have a right to be upset about? We are talking about a 3-4 month old watch purchased in July. I need some advice!!
44 vs 42 mm
Hello guys, i need some help clarifying my doubts. I am about to pull the trigger on a 44mm but i am concerned that it is to big for my 6.75 wrist. As compared to the 42mm, i like the 44mm because of the pushers and dial design. How big of a difference does 42 and 44mm has in overall design size? (Fyi: I saw the 42 and 44 side by side and didnt see much difference)What do you guys think? Should i continue with the 44? Or should i purchase my 42. Thank you in advance for your suggestions and comments. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
