Diver Just Made It Back Home, Where it Belongs!!!
Just received my Diver back from the APSC in Clearwater. The issues were fixed under warranty and the 3rd year was activated. Looks like the detent screw for the crown was loose and oils were drying. Oils drying??? Watch is less than a year old. Well, we know some of these Divers had issues with the oil and to be honest who cares. I love AP regardless!!! Best watch company ever!!! Finally back home after a very quick turnaround of two weeks. AP rocks!!!I apologize in advance for the crappy iPhone pics this morning!
Incoming Omega 2254
Here is my story ... sad but true ... hahaMy first luxury watch was Omega SMP Blue Bond ... when i got my first Rolex Sub Date ... my best friend confiscated my Omega. He is wearing it now and will only return it when he gets his first Rolex which probably wont be for a while. One of my favorite things about having an Omega was the bragging rights of saying Omeeeeeeeeega as in Casino Royale movie. So i had to get another one. Omega 2254 was my choice, should have one incoming tomorrow. Here is a pic of my old Omeeeeeeega with the Rolex Sub Date.
Outcome of the 5711/1A and 5712/1A price increase for collectors
I am interested in understanding how today's price increase by the manufacture on the 5711/1A and 5712/1A timepieces will affect collectors' continued interest in those pieces relative to other comparable options and have created a poll to help solicit some views on that.
Is it the 233?
Greetings friends. I have had numerous Panerai references over the last decade. Enjoyed them - then sold them for someone else to enjoy. I am looking to settle down with one watch. Then concentrate on straps. I am not a multiple high(ish) end watch guy - so says she who must be obeyed - so it's just one single watch for me. I am pretty much decided that the one should be a Panerai. But which one? Have had multiple times the following references...000, 005, 111, 380, 372, 1000. Very much like aspects of each one. The 000 and 005 and 380 sausage dials are sexy. Have always liked them. But ~4k for a basic movement and closed case back always left me a little bit lacking. The 111 is nice, but kind of regular. The 1000, meh.The 372 I have had on 3 different occasions. I believe it is one of the best watches in photographs - but on the wrist it frequently didn't sing to me. Not sure if it's too large, or that a ~6k watch with a plexiglass dial turned me off. Perhaps if it was 45mm...Tha
