Watches NEWS
Quantity and price of Omega Speedmaster Professional Moon Watch
The Platinum version is in addition to a version of the 40th anniversary watch, which will be also limited edition, but 7 969 pieces instead of 69 pieces for the Platinum version stainless steel. By far, the only thing to say watches except is the color of the engraved plate on the dial - what is gold for the shows of Platinum and sterling silver on the steel version. I would say that the price for the Platinum version is $ 100,000 more. Still a good pace shows, but have that they it too far? We will know only after seeing that Omega returns with the 50th anniversary in 10 years.

Melbourne Watch Co Portsea Review
When I reviewed the Melbourne Flinders some time ago, I was pleasantly surprised by the subtleties of the design and quality manufacturing. So, I was very excited last summer when they announced they were coming out with the Portsea, a playful variation on the Marine Chronometer style. I wasn't the only one either, as their Kickstarter campaign for the watch raised just over $100k, nearly triple what they had asked for. What struck me about the Portsea is that it wasn't just another Marine watch, it really took the concept into a unique direction and used a cool movement, the Miyota 9120. By using this movement, Melbourne got to design around having a triple-calendar function, which added more complexity to the typically time only genre. The dial they came up with, which I'll dig into below, has an ingenious design, adding depth and texture where it is usually absent. All in all, a striking watch… but also one that comes in at a fairly modest price of about $615 (fluctuates with c

Something a little different...
Hey guys, thought I'd share this new strap with you since it's new to me and a little out of the norm. My modest strap collection consists of: OEM Assolutamente, OEM Vintage Brown Gator, OEM Black Gator, ABP Special Tanning Honey Gator, Dirk 1994 Cognac, Dirk PAV 91, and a Micah Mauser. Yesterday, to my surprise, my fiance gifted me a British Green Toad strap from Combat Straps. Added to my collection, it's definitely the odd one of the bunch. I wore it today to break it in and so far I'm enjoying it. The strap itself is pretty well made and after a little handling, the stiffness quickly went away. The glossy leather backing is pretty comfortable so far, though I haven't tested it out in the blazing Houston heat yet. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I just wanted to share my opinions and some pics with the community. Enjoy!
Tudor GMT - PEPSI or COKE
One of the things I noticed as soon as the Tudor GMT came out was the chameleon like bezel. I really like that the Blue turns Black at times. Its like wearing two watches at once. I haven't come across any threads that mention this. It a fantastic characteristic of this piece. If i didn't already have a Coke, I'd seriously consider this piece. I love the Coke, but about 30% of me that wants to buy the Pepsi bezel. This watch would definitely scratch that itch.
