Abraham-Louis Breguet was an illustrious watchmaker responsible for a plethora of inventions, including the tourbillon, equation of time, the first wristwatch, the first reliable automatic watches (perpetuelles), and the first gong spring for repeaters. It is hard to imagine what the horological world would look like today without Breguet’s contributions. Sir David Salomons was one of Breguet's greatest collectors and historians, and his 1921 book Breguet is considered one of the finest texts on the watchmaker's life and works. Speedmaster 3572.50 rarity/value/desirability question
Greetings...I am new to the forum and typically a Rolex guy but I do love the Omega Speedmaster and its lore and history. I at one time owned a 3573.50 sapphire sandwich and sold it to my father after a year or so I got the itch for another. I stumbled across what I thought was another 3573.50 and when I received it the watch had a hesalite crystal with sapphire museum back and different wording on the caseback but with the same two push button clasp as the 3573.50. In my research I discovered it was a short run 3572.50 and Omega confirmed it as a 2001 distribution/manufacture date. It came with a black Omega box and instruction booklet.Now to my questions...What was the actual run of this watch in years? On some forum discussion I stumbled across members who were discussing the rarity and increased desirability of this version due to this combination and short run. Does anyone here feel this way about this watch?I contemplated flipping it now to help fund another Rolex I'm after and t

Any 5980 owners out there care to share the pros and cons of this watch?Is this a PP you can wear everyday?I was thinking about the 5980 and a few different g-shocks for rugged activities. Any thoughts on this watch or wearability?Perhaps the aquanaut a better choice? Or the 5711 white dial?
