Prometheus Baiji Watch Giveaway
Prometheus just released their newest watch called the Baiji. The piece is meant to honor the now extinct freshwater dolphin species that was obliterated due to human intervention and pollution in their home waters in China. Baiji were incredible creatures and representative of an extremely rare class of Freshwater dolphins. There is an outline of one on the rear of the watch case. The watch itself is in steel (with a black PVD coated version) and is 43mm wide. There are various dial colors available with most having both SuperLumiNova and Tritium gas tubes on the dial. Inside the watches are Sea-Gull automatic movements which are ETA 2824 clones. Prices for the Baiji watches are between $338.94 - $440.61 depending on the model and where you live.To Enter You Must: 1. Ap 26400
Hello RFersI have a few questions to 26400 owners before i pull the trigger. I work my way down so ill end up with a diver or 42mm ROO down the line at some point so i thought why not get get a 44mm first. Personally looking for either the steel or carbon version. If someone owns the Ceramic, RG or even platinum versions feel free to answer.1) Is the watch uncomfortable for everyday use i am talking about wearing it as soon as you get up from bed and taking it off before you sleep.2)I have a 7.5 inch wrist and i found it that the watch surprisingly fits well on smaller wrists such as 6.5 inch wrists.3)If you had the choice of getting the carbon version or a steel version which one would you get and why (color of the dial, contrast sub dials etc)4)The watch is 44mm but does it really wear like a 47mm? Ive tried it once but it was close to a month ago so i don't exactly remember.5)Finally is the watch top heavy again steel vs carbon and does the strap distribute and balance the weight nic
It's not German standard
but quite ok.
The long wait begins
It's only June and I've already spent way too much money on watches this year...They are currently living comfortably in my AD's vault in a distant land, and I won't be able to see them until the end of the year when I finally have some time to visit. For now, I can only ask for pictures of my babies every once in a while...IMG-20140530-WA0003.jpgIMG-20140530-WA0000.jpgIMG_0026.JPGIMG_0017.JPG
Suggestions for my new collection...
I have a 36mm DJ that I bought new in 2007 and a Sub-date that I bought new in 2008. I would like to buy a few more Rolexes over the next few years so I end up with a small collection of 5 watches that I will enjoy and then pass along to my Son. I do want a Ceramic Daytona, so that leaves 2 more. I prefer stainless steel and want new watches, so what would you recommend that might be considered collectible one day?
