Swatch Introduces Five New Versions Of The Sistem51, Available To Purchase On February 23
When Swatch announced the Sistem51 at Baselworld 2013, watch enthusiasts took note. The mechanical, machine-made wristwatch was lauded for its simple movement architecture (51 components anchored to a central screw) all hermetically sealed against potentially damaging environmental elements. While the introductory models featured a linear, constellation-esque pattern on the dial, these new versions (excepting the pink watch) are more conservative in design. Luckily, the Sistem51 will still be offered at a reasonable price of $150.We won't get too deep into technical details in this post; for that, we recommend reading our hands-on review of the Sistem51 here. In summary, notwithstanding its plastic construction, the Sistem51 marks a step forward for Swatch in terms of product concepts and production techniques. Oyster Band Restoration
Has anyone had experience and could recommend where to get a stretched band restored? My two TT sub that I purchased back in 1996 is in need of a little TLC. The watch itself is in great shape but the band is stretched from 27 years of wear. Does anyone have suggestions as to where I could go to get the band restored?Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Advice for picking an "engagement watch"
First off, I just want to say thank you to this forum. I just found it a few days ago, and I have read many threads and feel like I've learned a lot! I would like to buy my boyfriend a watch as an engagement gift. He is new to luxury watches, as am I, though I would love a rose gold Lady DJ. We've looked at some online as well as in a store, and tried some on. The ones we liked the most were:Blue sky dwellerBlue date just 41, diamond indices, jubilee bandTwo-tone Daytona with a white face.He really liked the date just, but I'm afraid the diamonds might make it too dressy for everyday wear. He travels for work, so he would use the 2nd time zone on the sky dweller on most days. The Daytona he liked because he likes things to mess with, and it had lots of action to indulge his ADD. I want to make sure I get him something he can wear on most days, knowing it's more likely to be an heirloom than something resold as an investment. Any men here wear diamonds daily? Any advice on getting a new
