Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute Blacksteel Limited Edition Watch
When you think of watches associated with space (and space programs), it probably calls to mind the Omega Speedmaster, or perhaps the Poljot Strela. Did you know that Breitling also has a watch associated with the great space race of the mid-20th century? It did, and Breitling is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the watch's flight into space.On May 24th, 1962, a Breitling Navitimer was on the wrist of Lt. Cmdr. Scott Carpenter as he orbited the Earth three times in an Aurora 7 capsule. What separated this watch from others of its day was the fact that it featured a 24-hour dial, allowing for easy demarcation between day and night (which isn't an easy thing to do when you're orbiting the globe). A couple years ago Breitling released a limited edition Navitimer Cosmonaute in honor of Mr. Carpenter's mission (hands-on here). Now, in 2013, Breitling has released the Navitimer Cosmonaute Blacksteelin black steel.Of course, this model harkens back to its predecessor of fifty years ago.

15466BC 37mm Openworked
I am considering the 37mm RO Openworked 15466BC for my collection, as I find the fit perfect for my wrist. The only issue holding me back is the frosted finish on the WG case and bracelet. The 41mm model is out of the question.Has anyone heard if AP plans to introduce a non frosted version?

From the pictures on Omega's website, the yellow gold (on a leather strap) Speedmaster '57 looks great!Does anyone have any real world experience with one? Any pictures?This would be my daily wear watch.Thanks. LSwoboda

Some sales people get it, some don't
I had the opportunity to establish a nice relationship with a sales associate at an Omega Boutique. He really knew his Omega stuff and I could tell he was a true WIS through our conversation. Based solely on his professionalism and politeness, I decided to purchase a few buckles and a new strap and pay full MSRP instead of going through my normal online discounted sources. I even told him so and he was appreciative since, as a WIS, he knows that there are plenty of places to buy watch goods online. My items arrived April 1st and I stopped by April 2nd to pick them up. I asked the gentleman I had been working with if I could just buy some of them and hold the strap for my wife to pick up as she mentioned it would be a gift. He was more than accommodating and I told him she would be in during the month sometime. He said not to worry and he would be happy to hold it for her as long as needed. We left it at that I left feeling like a valued customer. He sent a follow up email thanking me
