Breitling Colt SuperQuartz Watches For 2011
Fan of high-end quartz watches? Breitling has a nice new piece for you. What is high-end quartz? Well not cheap quartz! The perception that all quartz watches are cheap is a bit of a shame. It is true that you can buy a quartz movement based watch for a few bucks, but high-end quartz watches are out there - and they have their fan following for sure. Breitling is one of the few Swiss brands that continually offers high-end Swiss quartz movement based timepieces in addition to mechanical watches (and not just in women's pieces). The mainstay of the Breitling quartz watch collection has always been their Aerospace watches. Those pieces are undeniably cool, but not everyone wants both analog hands and a digital display on their watch dial. So Breitling has always offered watches like this new Colt that are quartz movement based, but not digital.I am not an expert of Breitling watch collections - though my understanding is that the Colt line has not always been about quartz movements. Diver strap options
After seeing some pics of this beauty on hornback etc., I'm thinking of complementing the nice OEM rubber with some varieties. So I'm looking for good sources (OEM? aftermarket?), pics would be great, just trying to get ideas and places to buy. Also do you guys go ahead and get OEM buckles and, um, the little metal mini-links that connect strap to watch (seen the name, but can't recall it)? Thanks!
New Patek owner with questions!
Glad to finally be part of this esteemed group! I got a 5712R as my first and quickly realized this isn't a Rolex. For one, I read you have to jam a screwdriver to manually change moonphase. If the watch runs out of power reserve and you set it again with the crown, will the moonphase update with it?Also this watch is on a strap, which is my first also. Do these Pateks offer solid water resistance? If I accidentally leave the crown open, is it still waterproof like a Rolex? Is it ok to jump in the pool?If I need to service my Patek, is there a local Service Center like Rolex does in Beverly Hills? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Fake or Replica Rolex watches spotting remarks
Hello, I am new to Rolex watches world, and I am considering buying some Rolex watches pre-owned of course and I am thinking to start off with a date just or submariner I might ending buying both eventually!, and in order to make sure that I am buying the genuine one I am starting this thread to discuss all the possible spotting remarks that one should look for in order to verify whether the watch in hand is genuine or not, for example I read that for all Rolex watches old and new should have the second hand and I mean here the central main second hand reaching up to or cover the second indices, otherwise if it is shorter and failed to do so it will be a sure sign that we are looking at a fake Rolex watch, is this a solid fact or is there any models that have a short second hand that is far away from the second indices by 1 or 2 or 3mm.
Tudor Pelagos LHD - Too tall?
I've been going back and forth for awhile about picking up a Pelagos LHD while I do some saving for the next couple years (a GMT or Sub is next on my list). My main concern is that with the new in house movement, that the watch will be a little tall for wearing under a cuff (I spend most of my time at the office). Has anyone seen this to be an issue? Thanks!
