Watches NEWS
Oh no, I didn't...
just pull the trigger on yet another AP! Well, this is a special one in many people's hearts whether they are fortunate enough to own it or not... Can you guess? I'll give you a few hints:1) came out awhile back2) sickest AP ROO with an elegant yet stylish design and I think no ROO has been able to top it YET... (My own humble opinion of course)3) they are somewhat of a rare commodity these days!pictures to follow once I receive it... What a month it has been for me in terms of AP love! I think I'm done with AP collecting! =p
Welcome to the new ap forum!!!
As the biggest AP fan here I want to publicly thank Steve, the moderators and everyone else that made this forum possible. Let's all post an AP wrist shot showing the current time. Here's mine with today's date and the actual time of my post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Watches are the new currency!
Deep & dark scratch on polished bezel
Hi everyone, thanks in advance for any suggestions and advice. I'm pretty careful with my watches but realize that inevitably, they will get their 'everyday' wear which includes some scratches. But these on my PAM seem to be dark and quite noticeable as opposed to your 'normal' hairlines. Not even too sure when & how it happened and just noticed it today. Here are some crude iphone pics but hope you can see them clearly...they are on the polished bezel and case around 5 o'clock. Running my finger over them, they don't feel like deep dings. Has anyone on the forum ever had similar scratches like these? Any thoughts on a DIY job with cape cod cloths? Naturally I can just wait until service but would love to get your thoughts on doing something now. Thanks everyone!
If I had any doubts...
...they've been alleviated.Got a sneak preview from a non-AD today on two BLNRs that they've recently acquired. I was starting to worry that it wouldn't live up to my expectations - after all, I haven't actually seen one in the flesh for over 2 years. Glad to say that i was blown away and although itd a huge cliche, the pictures just dont it justice.I've stopped wearing my 43mm Tag Heuer to try and make it any easier adjustment to 40mm and I have to say it made a difference to my perception. When I first tried on a Submariner a few years ago I couldn't get past how small it felt but today I felt like the fit was perfect. I've had fears that it would be too small but they are now gone.Visited my AD today as well and I am now 4th on the list so it could be as soon as next month which would be a great start to the year.If anyone in Glasgow (or is willing to travel) then feel free to DM me and I'll point you in the direction of these two beauties.2016 - ?7,3002017 - ?7,500 unworn with stic
Incoming Explorer !!!
Was surprised to find this at an AD in the heart of Central, Hong Kong. Minutes earlier, they'd received a shipment from Rolex that included some steel sport pieces Retail price 5% cheaper than in the US, no sales tax / VAT, and they even take Amex... some deals are too good to turn down Love the simplicity and legibility of this watchSent from my SM-G9550 using Tapatalk
