Christopher Ward C8 P7350 Chronometer Watch
As of late, Christopher Ward has taken to generating quite a number of special, limited-edition watches. Some of these have taken the form of honoring military planes of the past, and yet others have delved into the realm of automobile racing, with some of those pieces actually incorporating metal from a specific vintage race car. Now, with their release of the Christopher Ward C8 P7350 Chronometer, we have a watch that carries metal that flew in the Battle of Britain.Given that the Battle of Britain happened in 1940, you might be tempted to think that they simply harvested the metal from a boneyard somewhere. That's actually not the case. There is still a Spitfire C known as P7350, the 14th one to come off the line C that is still in the air as part of the RAF's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. As you might imagine, they would not just give up pieces of such a historical plane willy-nilly. Instead, these bits come from a restoration of the plane that occurred back in 2008, and show

eBay Seamaster buy - Authentic?
Hi All, I bought this Seamaster: cgi.ebay/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:X:AAQ:US:1123 on eBay and was wondering if it was a decent deal.I tried to do diligent research, noting dates of the call 500, two-tone silver dial (at one time), hands, case, and band. To me, being a vintage Omega newb, it appears to be a transitional piece, with some late 50's and early 60's appointments. It looked like a good deal, and because it was listed as being from 1960, my birth year, I clicked on buy it now.I have a three day acceptance period once I receive it, so I'm asking y'all if made a decent buy, or a so-so one.Tim

Datejust vs oyster perpetual
As some of you would of read my last post asking about dials on the op for my wifes up coming 30th B'Day.I thought id update our recent purchase. We were going to go for a 31mm op for her but rolex dont do an all silver dial for this watch. If they did the search may have been concluded. As the days went on though i knew in my heart that a date just with jubilee would be the grail watch for her.I just didnt want to justify the extra $$$$So was pretty convinced on a 31mm op silver dial with pink indices... unfortunately know one had one in stock nor could give a eta on one.As i thought about it more & more i decided just to bite the bullet and get the watch she dreamt of....Can always save more money but its not easy to make an op a date just Any way its a couple of months to her birthday but ivetold her just to rock it now
