Oris Regulateur "Der Meistertaucher" - Big Is Beautiful
The polls have been counted, the results are in and the verdict...size matters! Well, at least underwater, according to Oris. The swiss watchmaker, well known for producing high quality yet at the same time surprisingly affordable diving watches, has just released its new diving watch, and its the largest ever! At 49mm the Regulateur "Der Meistertaucher" is no delicate timepiece, but then again, one would generally not consider diving a particularly delicate pursuit either. However, one must really wonder at the practicality of a watch this size out of the water. Granted it's certain to make an impression wherever it is worn but whether said impression is favourable or not really depends on the interpretation of the wearer.Although, to be fair, this watch must be assessed on the basis of what it has been designed for and one look at its rather large face will tell you that when it comes to diving, this timepiece means business. For a diving watch size is as important as functionality a
What about 5204p ?
Hi everyoneI have quiet good pieces in my collection like 5164a, 5990a, 5980/1r, 5711/1p, 5524g, 5131r, 6102p and I have been keeping an eye on 5204p(black dial) for a while. I didn't any of it around and also did not see any topics about it here. I would like to know about what you think of it ? Does it make sense compared to 5270 ? is it really that limited produced since it is split second ? Do you believe it has a future value ?Any comments and suggestions related to it is welcome. Everest band and Rolex Clasp repair
Not sure if this is the right place to post this (am sure this OP will get moved if not!). I'm looking to buy an Everest watch strap band for a GMT Master II 16710. I like the black look of the rubber watch strap - feels sporty and a good alternative to the steel bracelet when sports arise, or summer (finally) comes.Question I had was with regards to the clasp which is used for this band. I'm looking to purchase a Rolex Clasp and have found one available in London (UK here) on ebay but this is advertised as broken in the middle according to the salesperson. Apparently the clasp was used for an Explorer before. Here's a link to the ebay page: https://.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rolex-Dep...YAAOSwbHZaWLKL A few questions I had which I was hoping for advice on:1) How easy is it to fix such a clasp? 2) Is it worthwhile purchasing this clasp and trying to get this repaired so I can use with my everest band? Thanks!
