What Makes Her Tick: Four Watches For Women, Chosen By Watchmaker Fiona Kruger
Diamonds are not every girl’s best friend. Some prefer watches. On this day, International Women’s Day, we asked our good friend, independent watchmaker Fiona Kruger, to tackle one of the most sensitive subjects in the watchmaking industry: ladies’ watches. 1 OF 5 An independent watchmaker with a fierce sense of design – her Skull and Petit Skull watches address the oldest theme in watchmaking in a totally innovative way – Kruger picks out four very different watches and tells us why they appeal to her, as a woman, and more importantly, as a watchmaker. Hamilton American Classic Flintridge Lady Auto C $1,600 2 OF 5 A limited edition of 999 pieces, the Hamilton Flintridge Lady Auto offers exclusivity and serious watchmaking chops at an affordable price. What a classic!
A Speedmaster Professional 3570.50 arrived today and is on my arm now. What a watch! I just love that face! A true classic! Thanks Fr. John for turning me on to the Speedy Pro. My Speedy Pro will be an excellent companion to the SMP 2254.50 that already lives here. Cheers, Bill P.
New to panerai... Where to start?
Hey guys,Looking at purchasing a panerai but there are too many choices. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Pepsi OR Pepsi -- Rolex and Tudor
There are going to be lots of post arguing about this topic. Already there is a common theory that Rolex wants the consumer to buy a Tudor GMT instead of any other Omega at that price point. I have to say I want a Rolex Pepsi and since they will be so difficult to get and expensive I have plenty of time until I'm ready to buy one. That being said the Tudor GMT is much more advanced than something like a Rolex GMT Batman or Black due to the new movement and longer power reserve. IMOThe Tudor GMT is an attractive style/look/COPY of a vintage Rolex and I have to say when I look at the Tudor it more closely resembles the vintage Pepsi I sold when compared to the new Rolex Pepsi. Maybe I'm trying to talk myself into a Tudor GMT for under 4K instead of working hard, saving and fighting for a Rolex GMT.What do you guys think? I know my comments about the BLNR are going to piss everyone off but that's my opinion.
